If G1 Starscream tried to use Megatron in gun-mode to kill himself, would Megatron fire? How about an autobot? Hot Rod? (galvatron probably would kill Rodimus in this way, if he used the unicron's pistol mode.) Stunticon Dead End? A human? Would Other gun-formers allow their use in this way? I want a good discussion as to WHY they would/wouldn't, not short "yes/no/maybe" style answers, I'm curious about the way they'd think, or are thought of.
I think he'd probably prefer to do it himself, but I could see him not working if letting them live was more amusing to Megatron. "Oh god, Kissplayers! Only one way out!" *click* *click* "Noooooooooooooooooo!" while Megatron laughs maniacally.
I see this as a distinct possibility. And when that person gives up on trying to pull the trigger and decides to live... Blammo!
no, I'm just curious if gun-formers would work in the way guns are used that is not portrayed officially, we've seen enough of the standard "I shoot you!" in fiction, just, never any discussion of self shooting...
Is this in the wrong forum to discuss the gun former personalities and likelihood to be used on the wielder by the wielder's choice?
I know in the cartoon there was evidence that Megatron couldn't prevent himself being fired. He was used to shoot Decepticons on a regular basis. If he could, wouldn't he have prevented that? As to would he want to be used as a suicide weapon, I don't think he would care really. He thought of humans as insects.
Whose Megatron to say no to offlining a bot? If a member of his ranks was 'weak' enough to want to die, i'd think Megatron would prefer him offline rather than having a worthless bot in his ranks.
I could also see Megatron refusing to fire if the inane blubbering of the suicidal bot made him sick, and he felt it demeaning to be used in such a way.
