Oh, and Shockwave is one of the coolest Transformers in any story arch. Sorry Wired reviewer guy, you fail. Utterly.
Y'know, I liked him pretty well on Animated too. For me, the moment I became a hardcore Waspy fan is right before the climax of the finale when it all goes down and he just loses it. When he tells Inferno and Quickstrike to "Pucker their madibles and plant big, wet juicy one on Waspinator's big fat stipey"... Boom. Love it. That was the scene right there. Made all the deaths worthwhile in my opinion.

And I believe my love of all things Shockwave is evident in my sig line (which is also my email sig at work).

Fluff article. If this guy really knew what he was talking about he wouldn't have failed to include Spanner.

I remember the days when Decepticons were proud warriors, not mere movie monsters.

Not for nothing I could see where the guy was coming from, I mean not everyone read the comics. People alot of times just had what the shows, showed us.

Shockwave all he did was basically "guard the base." The few episodes where he did stuff made him look like a complete failure.

Then you got Rodimus Prime. They shoulda changed his name to Suckimus Prime. All he did was second guess himself and whine like an emo kid that he would never be the leader optimus was. They only times he was decent was when he actually made command decisions without saying ahhh man I'm not as good as prime. Now I saw the Headmasters series and almost as soon as he could pawn the leadership roll off on someone like Fortress Maximus he did.

Now as for waspinator yes he was like kenny. Sometimes he was kenny twice in one episode. But he was funny and h had his use. he took the missile that might have done the same thing to megatron. So with him I disagree there were much less useful obots on that show. Like say Air razor, what did she do other then be background, Scorpanok is so useless they kill him and replace him with a cowboy.
