In Light of WTF@ TFW....Radio Dramas.

I was thinking that with the advent of TFW's podcast, that there might be an opportunity for us to do another audio-only production for the group. Since we have a wealth of voice actors, and music and sound effects from generations of Transformers shows, not to mention talent all over the board in terms of writers and story-ideas, I wanted to see what you guys thought of putting together short full-cast radio-dramas revolving around transformers. Since we aren't limited by the time it takes to produce video, we can devote time to writing good shorts that can include music, sound effects and a full cast. Obviously we all live in different cities and countries, but audio files in MP3 can easily be emailed or traded through storage sites.

Post your thoughts here and maybe we can form a group and start putting some ideas together. I have no problem editing, and based on Voice talents, we can revolve stories around any generation, any time period, so long as sound-alikes are available. (Can anyone do a Rattrap impersonation).

This is a cool opportunity to make some of our fan fictions writings a reality in a way that doesn't steal too much time from our daily lives, thus is it more possible to finish them.

Let me know what you guys think.

As an admin, I would be happy to host whatever final product in a similar light to WTF @ TFW, so long as its half decent, and not just a bunch of us messing around.

I can provide some sound effects, BG music, etc. But other than that, wouldn't have time to be involved. So if you guys want to do it, organize yourselves, get some stuff together, and then contact Vangelus, myself, or Super_Megatron when you are getting close to a test run.

Later!

I performed and recorded a dramatic reading of a piece of TF fanfic I found on the net.

You can download and enjoy it here.

I'd love to help with the voice work on this (no don't shove me in if I don't fit a part- I'll still support it!), and either way I'd love to see some more creative stuff get produced.

Cool, well let me get a group started and we can start pitching ideas for story, characters involved and generation/timeline. So for the meantime we can start coming up with ideas. We can definitely try for the Clone Wars mini episodes tying into a major store and focusing on a small cast of characters, or we can go all out

Count me in. I've been involved in radio dramas since college, am a part-time voiceover talent, and do a lot of character voices, soundalikes, and impressions. Here's a video sample of one of my live performances showcasing about 30 character voices and impressions from my repertoire:

I could probably pull that one off. I'd have to brush up on it though. I haven't even attempted a Rattrap impression since BM aired.

I'm sure my brother and fellow TFW member jon3pnt0 would be up for this too. He's a great voice talent, and has a large repertoire of some rather uncanny soundalikes and impressions of TF characters. He's been earning some well-deserved accolades for his recent TF-inspired parody video of "Unsolved Mysteries" as chronicled in this thread.

Listening to the Podcast now. Wrong thread, but afterwards, I'll try to get a group started. It's awesome that we will have plenty of voices. IF we have that and writers, everything else will easily fall into place.
