And Metrodome's won't be around for much longer - they lost the catalogue after Hasbro bought their shows back from TV Loonland.

I would have thought existing deals would transfer to the new license owner? If not, I would assume Madman lost theirs as well, as they had dealt with Loonland.

I got an e-mail from Metrodome saying "Great working with you, but we don't got Transformers no more," so that's fairly definitive. I would suppose the same is true of Madman too.

Whichever (American) company gets the rights to distribute G1 DVDs better do a good job... unless they can bear the shame of aussies and poms doing a better job than they can *shakes fist*

Metrodome never had the license, they were just given the material from their parent company, TV Loonland. Also, Metrodome were sold the same week the G1 rights were sold to Hasbro.

There had been rumours this was coming as TV Loonland has not been in the best financial state for a while.
