Wow, this thread would be impossible to find in a search. I have to vote this as the shortest thread title ever.

Um, yeah...anyways. I think the Madman sets are ok. People seem to like them.

Threads aren't sorted alphabetically, hehehe

Err, but yes, I would recommend buying the Japanese series boxset. They are interesting to watch, if a little crazy and drawn out sometimes.

I don't know about the Madman sets, but I can thoroughly recommend Masterforce, Headmasters less so, haven't got round to Victory yet.

If you do a search in the forums for 'Madman' there have been a few threads discussing them.

Here's everything you ever need to know about Madman's Transformers DVDs.

For the sets you want, the episodes themselves are the same as the ones from Metrodome's HM/MF/Victory dvd sets (down to subtitle errors). Just get the Takara boxset from Metrodome, as it will be cheaper. I think.

Haven't bought any TF DVDs from Madman... been wanting to get the Headmasters set, but I guess I'll take Fit for Natalie's advice and get it through Metrodome.

Thanks SmokescreenGT for making this sig!

I just got the G1 box set from Madman, but have yet to find the time to crack it open.

Why would one want to go with Metrodome's DVD's rather than Madman's?

Play TF2, DoD, L4D on Steam?

I said that if one wants to save money, get Metrodome's Takara collection boxset rather than Madman's individual Headmasters/Masterforce/Victory/Zone sets, since the content will be largely the same (well, some differences), but Metrodome's set will likely be cheaper.

Madman's G1 set (G1 as the American G1 cartoon) is probably the best official set around in terms of extras and stuff included. And of course, their Beast Wars DVDs are the best money can buy. Loads of extras on those.
