1984 Original Cartoon Series Was The Best Of Them All!

I got all 98 episodes on the Rhino 5 Box set.

I think this was the best 80s cartoon of all time. I liked GI Joe, He-Man, Thundercats, M.A.S.K.,...........but nothin' beats the Transformers.

Can I get an Amen?

You forget Starblazers and Robotech. Those had the bonus of actually being written well.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed G1, at the time I was a bit nuts about it, but respectfully, no. Watching the episodes now occasionally make me cringe, while there were some gems in there, like The Golden Lagoon or Webworld, and I still have a special fondness for it, there were better cartoons in the '80s.

Tekkaman: The Space Knight and Robotech for two, spring to mind. They had strong storylines and what was then top notch animation for the budget.
