There are some more (small) difference between Armada and Micron Legend, but I have to think about it. I haven't watched Armada that many times.

There were many unexplained things in GF like the black fog or planet X, and what they did in Japan was to include bits of info about those mysteries in the booklets which came with the DVDs. You wouldn't know unless you buy expensive DVDs
The black fog is also explained in one of those booklets I hear. I'll have to find out now that you mention it...
Is there any other dialouge differences between Micron Legend and Armada?
