I was explaining something to her about Mega (Overlord's Godmaster), and I kept referring to Mega as "her" while speaking. "She's small enough to just wrap in bubble-wrap and put in an enevelope to send.", I said. My mother responded with "She? I thought Arcee was the only female Transformer from back then."
Keep in mind that mom obviously forgot Chromia, Firestar, and Elita-One. However, the previously mentioned four female Autobots were only original-series cartoon characters; never toys.
So in all reality is Mega not the first female transformer? She might not be a robot, she might not even be Cybertronian, but she is a female and she does transform. Can anyone else confirm her being the "First Lady of Transformers" sold as a toy?

Minerva was also in the same line. |

Mega and Minerva were both human. The other was a Godmaster and the other was a Headmaster junior. However, I would say that Giga is the dominant Godmaster on Overlord (who's definitely not a fembot), I'd say Minerva is the first.
As actual fembots...I don't think those were seen until Beast Wars. |

On the US side of things, BotCon 1995 Nightracer was the first fembot toy, whereas BW Blackarachnia was the first fembot to be released at US mass retail.
The first mass retail TF toy to be fully DESIGNED to look like a "female" was Transmetal 2 Blackarachnia.
Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).
Offering: Binaltech Hound, Swindle, Ravage (Corvette), Skids.

TM Airazor was designed to go either way because the character in Japan is male, similar to the recent Nitro Convoy/Override swap. I'd have to agree with the BlackArachnia assessment.
| TM Airazor has a feminine build, and boobs. I don't see how that could go "either way". |
