Examine the design of the helmet and presence of the arm cannon.
The shape is similar to Mega Man's, while the Autobot symbol is in the place of the red crystal in Mega Man's helmet.
The design does feature some notable differences (other than the large increase in complexity mandated by Hollywood), such as the shape of the boots. |

prime has a crest on his head and prominent abs and pecs and the same shaped sword as leonidas, but that doesn't mean i'm going to claim that his design was heavily inspired by 300  | |

Join Date: Sep 2003 Posts: 12,368 Location: Lansing Michigan Collection Count: 486 News Credits: 2 | there's no proof of him being inspired by megaman, or X. he has a similarly shaped "helmet", but many robots do. many other transformers do. the autobot symbol is on his forehead, but that's just a typical design choice, and X isnt the first robot to have a forehead jewel anyways. arm cannon? megaman isnt the first robot to have one.
and the boots? there's no similarity there at all. and megaman's boot design is taken from astro boy.
you're really, really stretching. there's no real similarities at all. |
