I would think this is the perfect forum since Toyark is about the toys and the movie foum is about the movie. So go ahead and start discussing....

Weird designs asside I have hope for the new series. I think it will have the best writing we have ever seen.

It's going to have to do a lot better with what its currently aimed to be at a super hero type theme to beat Beast Wars. BW probably has the best writing of any series so far imo The new animated series will be aimed at the younger audience, we're not even sure how death will be treated. I doubt we'll get another death as cool as Dinobot's.

But on the upside, I am quite optimistic about the show. I don't mind the designs too much.

I am looking forward to the show but probably the toy line even more. Some of the toys are really looking good.

I'm indifferent about Animated at the moment. I really like a fair few of the designs (and there are very few I outright dislike). Only things I really don't like at the moment are:

1) Superhero plot-line thing...
2) The horrific Tara Strong voiced girl...THING (much as I like Tara, not even she can save this character)
3) The transformations (watching the clip from SDCC...what is with body parts like..popping out of things?)
4) Bumblebee's voice (WHY?!?!?!?)

Current Animated Collection: Starscream, Lockdown, Deluxe Earth Prime, Deluxe Megatron, Ratchet, Blackarachnia, Prowl, Voyager Bulkhead, Voyager Megatron, Voyager Prime, Lugnut, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Leader Megatron, Soundwave, Jazz, Oilslick

Your opinion....but the movie get's it's own thread why not the cartoon???

it had/has many different types etc. That would make sense...
