Movie discussion would have overwhelmed TFGD if it wasen't seperated. Cartoons have never generated the volume of posts to do that and theres never been a good reason to do it otherwise.

Thats without getting into the logistical and efficency issues involved. More forums means cannabilising traffic from existing ones that already work well, increasing the complexity of the database and finding more man hours of competent policing.

This place has been around for donkeys years and the staff know how to run a sucessful Transformers message board. If something is or isn't here, then there is a good reason for it.

Doubtful. None of the other cartoons got their own sub-forum.

The reason why the movie got one is because it was a huge thing that brought in a ton of new members who wanted to talk about the movie. If a movie sub-forum hadn't been created we'd have had to deal with tons of threads here in TFGD that would completely drown out any non-movie discussions. That's not going to happen with the new cartoon.
