You have no right to call any form of art invalid. Moving on...

There was a Plan Be did a of the battle for Autobot City in rap form. The track is total nerdcore, but it's pretty good: http://www.pro-gravity.com/PlanBe/Antiform/DeceptsLyrics.htm

Rap music is lame end of story. I always start laughing out loud when I see someone playing that in their car. Seriously move on it is old. Isn't insinuating or dismissing someone's opinion as invalid a little dictatorish? I could have sworn we were on the Internet.....

did I see the same video as everyone else? The song sucks. The song claims that white people are evil for being racist for the last two thousand years but according to the beginning of the song white people were cast out of Africa millions of years ago for being mutants and were also conquered by Islam, the moors etc. So what exactly makes white people more evil than those people?

and theres alot to pick from on the rock side right, like, lets say, my chemical romance, they have talent. maybe if it was opposite day. they suck. all the new rock sounds the same, and sometimes some good old gansta rap is like a breath of fresh air. I love method man, and just bought the young buck cd....last night.

oh yeah, method man raps about megs in one of his songs also. and tf cartoons all over the place in the movie"the professional".

That was the wrong link. Sorry, the song is very racist. I was debating the contents of that song on another site and accidently linked that one instead of the one I meant to link. My apologies.

Maybe if it was opposite day? Yeesh. I don't like My Chemical Romance either they are also lame but still not as lame as boring old rap music. Every song sounds just like the last one. So sad.....

So I take it that you've listened to EVERY single rap song ever then?

BTW It's country music and not rap that sounds the same.

Yes I have listened to every one of them because basically they are all the same. Yeah I agree with you about the country music part though. My wife cranks that stuff and I seriously can't tell much of a difference between any of it.

I don't care if you DISLIKE rap, but it is a form of artistic expression. This is not a matter of opinion.

In your interpretation it is. In mine it is not. It IS an opinion. I do NOT define rap as any type of artistic expression. We could debate the finer points of the what is artistic expression but it won't get anywhere. Get over it and move on.

I didn't call rap music invalid. I said that I don't consider rap self expression-that is my opinion. And if you are wondering where I get my opinion from, I've been an artist all of my life and I've worked for a major Art Commission for 4 1/2 years in CA.

I have every right to call any artwork I want invalid. So do you and everyone else on this board..all artwork or any kind of so called self expression is subjective.

So no rap music to you is a form of self-expression? A little narrow minded don't you think?

    Let me answer your questions:

No rap music is a form of self expression? Only to the artists themselves that call it self expression. I also do not call it music either-but again, that is my opinion and I am entitled to that-I'm sure there are many of you that think what I consider music distasteful and crap. That is your opinion as well..and I respect your opinion.

A little narrow minded, don't you think? No more narrow minded than anyone else with an opinion here on this board or anywhere else. To say that anyone who dislikes rap music "sucks" is plain out childish. If we all liked the same thing, this earth would be boring.

Everyone on this board is entitled to their opinion whether it is agreed upon or not. If you like rap music, more power to you. I just don't like it...

    As Ferret says, "moving on..."
