Question 1 answered! Please note question 2!

Or, more easily put: Which toys did you never see at Wal*Mart? Windcharger, Battle Ravage, Shockblast, Wheeljack, Swerve, Decepticharge/Prowl (the latter two initially only shipped together to US mass retail).

Again, ONLY red boxes. Bubble boxes are a different story altogether.

Also, if there's a toy your store skipped, buth the next ones showed up again, that's not what I'm looking for; I mean more of a "I never saw any new Alternators after X at Wal*Mart until the bubble boxes showed up".

    Question number 2

After which toy did red box Alternators stop being available in Canada? Apparently very early, as I found an "OMG Alternators are back in Canada" sigthing from October 2005, with Grimlock, Swindle and Tracks being depicted in the receipt photo. So which toys never really made it to Canadian sheves before the bubble packaging started?

i'm almost positive i'd seen up through and including wheeljack at walmart. and even so, i'm not sure how many of the later ones of those i'd seen, so it really depends on one's definition of widely. never saw swerve, decepticharge, or prowl at a walmart.

I never saw a red box Prowl. ANYWHERE. I did buy a redbox Dragstrip in person at a TRU.

    Ebay:
Decepticharge, Swerve, Wheeljack, Shockblast, and Battle Ravage here. Although I never saw him, I believe red boxed Prowl did make the rounds north of the border.

Last one I remember for sure was Shockblast. I got Wheeljack online although I can't remember where...I just remember that I got the next three after SB online. Wheeljack went on to be pretty common, but I can't remember if I saw him in WM. Definite NO on Swerve, Decepticharge and Prowl at WM. I only saw them at TRUs and Target.

To be perfectly honest, I don't recall seeing any of those red boxed Alternators you listed at Wal-Mart. The last Alternators in a red box I saw at an actual Wal-Mart store were Grimlock and Swindle. I saw a descent amount of these but like a lot of people the Tracks/Meister wave before hand I saw twice total, both times at a Wal-Mart. So basically the last two I saw were Grimlock and Swindle.

hehe. I REFUSE to type that name. It's not a name!!!! nya nya nya. :lolol

One walmart near me stopped selling alts after the BLUE boxes. Silverstreak was the last one I ever saw there.

    -edit-
That same walmart then got the bubble alts.

I'm not sure you'll find a good answer for this one, Nevermore. Since individual Wal-Mart's tend to have a lot of autonomy in what they stock (as opposed to Target or TRU), there won't be a clear point where you can say "all Wal-Marts stopped carrying red box Alts after this wave."

I don't think I ever saw red box Prowl, swerve and decepticharge at a Wal*mart. Target Yes, wal*mart no. SO the last two before them was the last I saw there.

I think the last red box Alt was a Wheeljack at a California Walmart.

Around here, all I ever saw on the shelves was Sideswipe, Smokescreen, Hound, Swindle, and Silverstreak. Never saw a Grimlock or a Windcharger. I gave up on Wal-Mart after that. They got some of later waves, but it was far from reliable. Usually something on the order of getting 1 wave, skipping 2, and then getting the next one.

I was definitely Shockblast. The next one out after that was Swerve, who never showed up at a Wal Mart.
