I'm personally hoping for a sword-arm Prime and a Megatron with his mace and that spear he used in that Cybertron flashback.
Yeah...Aren't they? I'm pretty sure these two are getting the Deluxe treatment... EDIT: Ok, I just checked ams' movie toy list thread and sure enough, no Deluxes. But I thought some BotCon goers saw a Deluxe Classe Prime with a sword-arm...?
No. Prime and SS were originally intended to, and the prototype for Prime was shown, but not to the public. And I'm pretty sure it had the sword.
Nothing? But I thought...Didn't onesock just confirm that there IS a Deluxe Optimus Prime coming out? Man, I'm confused now...
The SECOND version of Robot Heroes Movie Prime is going to have a sword. That was the only "sword" info I remember hearing at Botcon. And rumors were wild about a deluxe Prime for a while, but with nothing shown at Botcon and nothing showing up in retailer computers, I don't think there are any coming. Transformers Animated will indeed have a deluxe and voyager Prime, though. And the voyager version will have a GIANT AXE.
Are you serious?! They're giving a sword to one of the robot heroes but not to ANY of the main-line figures?! That's just...Sucky. C'mon Hasbro! Ok, well that's cool at least. I actually hadn't heard that yet, thanks ams!
I edited my post above with more info... and I was typing madly during most of the panels for the news reports, so someone can correct me if I missed anything. Pretty sure that's all correct, though.
The Deluxe Prime and Megs are up in the air still with the voyager bonecrusher. Originally slated, but currently up in the air, may still make an appearance, but probably not till later in the line, if they need a few to round out some holes.
Oh ok, crap I'm not as in-the-loop as I originally thought. Well then, THEORETICALLY, what do you guys want to see in the Deluxe Optimus and Megs IF they make them?
They're only up in the air in the sense that Leader Wheeljack movie style is up in the air. IE: Anything is up for a toy at this point pretty much.
Hmmm... can you share where you heard that? At the Botcon panel, the Hasbro team stated that in the coming weeks they would be discussing what figures might make sense to have in additional size classes. It didn't sound like there was anything on the table yet--a fan in the crowd yelled out "Bonecrusher!" Just working strictly with the facts we know, I haven't heard any indication that molds have been developed for anything outside of what we have seen already, or the glimpses of additional figures we saw at the con (which did not include deluxe Prime/Megs or voyager Bcrusher). Hope springs eternal, though.
