Wrong about what? If you're going to say someone's wrong, at least back it up with some statements. Let's hear some jargon of your own, let's see if you're even in the same league to call me wrong.

I don't need to go in to detail. All you described was how to make a guideline in Flash. Unless we're seeing totally different videos, I see a lot more talent than an amateur Flash animation.

Oh, and don't think you're all high and mighty, and in a league of your own. Because you aren't.

I'm a flash expert guys. I use rapid frame shifters to move my texturing oxy scrubbers.

    I work at Pixar.

Um.. that wasn't Flash. So it doesn't really matter how much I know about Flash, does it? Or maybe we are seeing different videos. The one I saw didn't use Flash, which one did you see that did?

There is more than one type of animation program out there, you know. Or am I wrong about that, too?

Oh, and I never implied I was in a league of my own.. just a different league than you. I doubt I'm the only one on these boards capable of creating a video like that. Statistically, there should be at least one or two others.

His website is woefully out of date, I'm afraid. I would imagine he's improved since then. Unfortunately, the Search feature here is still disabled, making it somewhat difficult to see his more recent works. He would probably agree with me about this particular video, assuming he knows a thing or two about animation in LW. Which I'm going to assume he does. We use the same tools, in point of fact.

I do wonder why you think he's better than me, if you've never seen any of my work. I do admit that I've never done any TF art (yet), but subject matter alone is hardly an indication of skill.

That was really badass! The transformation is neat. It's cool to see other people getting back into Transformers by doing animations like this.

that was actually pretty neat. he couldve made it easier by having the camera stationary but he didnt.

and onesock was making a pretty good argument. until he copped out and used draven to defend himself. (man rule #5: dont use other ppl to fight your fights, brah.)

Nope. He isn't wrong; you are.
    SO are you.
He knows more about 3D than you. By the end of this post that will be abundantly clear to you.
Congratulations (if it's true). However.... *drumroll* he isn't talking about Flash.

Here is the news, you two:
    He isn't wrong at all.

Jedi2016 is a 3D modeller like me (like me, he also uses Lightwave), and he is talking in 3D terms; those terms pretty much are universal throughout 3D packages. Now. At the risk of appearing as much of a know-it-all as you 2 (albeit one who actually DOES know what he's talking about), let me explain.
Keyframe animation (also known as Forward Kinematics) is the most widely used technique for 3D animation on the planet. It does exactly what it says on the tin; you move through the timeline, moving model parts and taking snapshots of their positions, rotation, scale, and so on. It is how I animated the entire of Redemption 1 & 2.
This principle is used in Flash, but it is not exclusive to it.
So. The next time you 2 geniuses decide to rag on someone because you think they are wrong, you might well want to check your facts first because you both look more than a tad stupid now. Congrats.
Oh, and a couple more things while I'm here...
Don't EVER use me to score points in a fucking argument again. You have NO idea how much that sort of shit pisses me off.
Your inflated opinion of yourself does not live up to your board presence. I am not the only person who has noticed this. You might want to work on your people skills a tad.

I liked it (feels worthless saying it after that diatribe, though...). Thanks for posting it.

Sweet, love the ED-209 influence. If anyone's smart they can make a Transformers licensed game out of this type of design, throw in some of the Real Gear bots and ya got yourself a fun, accessible blast-'em-up.

I thought it was VERY cool. I loved the design, very clean modelling and texturing.
