I have been contemplating this today. Should I sell my Takara reissues book style 0-21 and my BT collection with the BTA (1-3) and KISS Prime, autolooper, rodimus. BT i have all except smokescreen 1 with 7 on the door but i got a KO version to compensate.

Seeing that the iron is hot now for buying transformers. Think I should sell these?

Of course selling them in a lot and not individually.

    Thoughts?

not worth my time to sell it individually. I am not looking to really sell it, just want to see what the people on the boards think..I will really seriously consider selling it if someone offers me a good offer for the entire lots. if not, then i'm going to keep it.

So to ebay or not to ebay these collections? that is the question. Unless someone on the board makes me a killer offer for all of them

i'm about to list my bt collection on ebay. i've got everyone up to bt 13 including all the smokescreens and tracks variations, and "zoom zoom" of course. i might keep shockwave and zoom zoom though. i got them all from tfsource and i was in pretty good with curt so they're pretty much perfect misb.

Well, if you're not looking to sell them, then what's the point? And you probably would get more cash if you sold them seperately. So, if that's not worth your time, then I wouldn't do it.

I don't believe that the way he conducts his sales is, in any remote way, your business. Besides, there's always the possibility that his time could be spent doing something more productive than listing individual toys on Ebay, which is relatively time-consuming.

I say sell; the market's hot right now. Especially on ebay, where people are going to scrutinize the price less.

You can use templates on Ebay once you've done one. I could probably list all BT figures in less than 30 minutes. It's not what I call time-consuming.

Well, to each their own. I've always found ebay to be pretty time-consuming deal when it comes to getting stuff listed. Maybe dude doesn't want to spend time listing stuff individually because he perceives it as time consuming.

...that and price-consuming. Regardless of how low the selling charges get, it's always nicer to sell on here for $0 selling charge.

seriously. its not that time consuming at all. how precious is your time anyway? you can't put aside a couple hours off your "busy" schedule to make more money? are you making more money doing something else with your time?

i still don't understand this logic...

It may be hard to understand, but there are people who have busy enough work and life schedules, that, no, they don't have time to perform auction set ups like these; the profit they could be making doing other things might indeed be higher.

The time they waste posting here could be used to post auctions on Ebay. And one thing that I've learned is that people are oftentimes cheap here. Message boards are not the place to make good money. Even with all the fees involved, you will probably end up making more money on Ebay.

Sell them before the Encore series are released for the best price. You'll have to settle for a lot less selling them all together, but that's good news for buyers.

I think its a good time to buy transformers. Alot of people are trying to cash in on the movie. If you look around you can get some decent deals. For selling, I think this fall would probably be a better time to sell the reissues. Play it by ear. When you go to sell them, make sure ebay is not flooded. If you sell the reissue in smaller groups or by themselves you'll probably be able to get ride of some for more money though you might have some trouble moving some like Jazz, Prowl, Tracks, Inferno, Hot Rod, Stepper.

That and collectors, unless they're relatively new, are rarely looking at buying entire lines all at once, they want to fill the gaps in their already existing collection. Huge lots are not the way to go imo.

Couldn't agree more. I'd buy a collection like that only to break it up and resell later.

Being lazy is not what I am trying to portray as someone else has said. its simply easier to me to sell it all at once. Mind you I have a large collection and this is only a fraction of my collection that I could part with. If I was to sell my collection, that would be an even bigger task then this.

Who wouldn't be looking to make a little profit. I am not in it for that as much as some are, but why not let the market decide what its worth? Like a custom smokescreen box with a reissue smokescreen for $120.To each their own that decides the value of the figure...

The market for transformers is hot right now. Certain figures that were cheap have jumped up in price in the last little while

The takara pieces I have I already have them loose in my collection, thats why i may be willing to part with them. As for BTs, I have the alt versions, I may also consider selling these.

Listing the items may not be so time consuming, but having to ship them all out individually could be.
