For instance the Botcon seekers, Alternators Nemesis Prime (not the Wonderfest Convoy), the upcoming Alternators Rodimus or the classic coloured MP Screamer, could they ever be released in Japan?
Or do they respect the exclusivity of the item and choose not to make it?
Thank you in advance! I should rephrase my question, not necessarily those figures specifically, just in general. Say if Hasbro released an SDCC green reissue Soundwave limited to 1000 pieces, would Takara be able to release the same figure in Japan if there was a Market for it? |

Alt Rodimus was released first as KP Rodimus in Japan, it's just got a slightly different deco, so unlikely. Again same character twice, with similar deco.
Botcon Seekers - that would still undermine the extreme exclusivity. G1 coloured MP Starscream, possible if Takara thought there was a market. |

I was just curious about how this part of their relationship works. I am thinking they scratch each others backs. |

However, Takara's exclusives have always been off limits "as-is" to Hasbro, which is why you see slight color changes when Hasbro wants to do something like Excellion in Cybertron. The convention exclusives, however, are most definitely off limits to Takara in return. Otherwise, I am sure we would have seen them done by now. The contracts that protect the exclusivity of these figures are rather strong pieces of writing.
