what's the difference between difference MP versions?

    I am an newbie...not clear about the difference between them, like mp-1, mp-5 blabla....what do they mean? thanks.

    MP- stands for MasterPiece, and the number to indicate the order the figure was released:

    01 : Prime
    02 : Magnus
    03 : Starscream
    04 : Perfect Prime (MP - 01 + trailer)
    05 : Megatron

    and MP 06 is a repaint of MP 03 as Skywarp.

    MP03 is being released stateside with his G1 colors as well.

    thanks, guys. where I should start for collecting a typical set of tf? all mps are expensive, maybe I only buy 01,03 and 05. for rest, I am planning to buy BT series. How do you guys think? is BT still in acceptable quality? thanks.

    Wow Your a newbie and you already get into the expensive stuff? The BTs are nice and made of diecast but they scratch like nobody's business. If you dont mind the diecast being stripped you can get the Alternators line which is cheaper.

    Edit: Yes dont get MP03. Theres QC issues and its not really starscream's colours. Wait for the american release.

    I'd get MP-04 and 05, and then the US release of Starscream. That's the best version of each character.

    That's what I'm going to do. I already have MP-04 and MP-05, will get Wal-Mart Starscream.
