I was playing around with my g1 soundwave, then I decided to open him up and take a look, now here's the problem. WHERE DOES THAT LITTLE SILVER PIECE GO? please help(detail description on how to put it back is appreciated)



THE SILVER PIECE, pretty sure it has to do with the eject mechanism.

 

pretty sure thats the piece that springs the tape deck open.

... I dont feel like hunting for and opening my soundwave to find out where it goes though. sorry.

 

Why did you do that ?

 

cause i noticed when i press the eject button, the tape deck didn't open as smooth as before, therefore i wanted to see what the problem was. As soon as i opened him up, the silver metal popped out.. ..now i'm just trying to put it back.. but dont know where/how it sits. anyone know how to put this back from past experience?

and For those TFans who have a g1 sounwave or their reissue soundwaves out of box, can you press the EJECT button and look inside the tape deck and see if you could locate where that silver piece belongs and how it sits? thanks

From this gallery, it looks like it goes behind the eject button, but I can't be certain.
