Hey all, I was just curious, if they were to make a transformer or two that didnt have an alt mode, instead they just had two different bot modes. like spy bots with no vehicle mode. Would you be interested in that sort of figure or does the alt mode make the bot for you?
It would kinda defeat the whole Robots in Disguise angle since they would be disguised as another robot. So, no I probably wouldn't buy it.
Well, I would still have bought SCORPONOK even if he'd only had his scorpion mode, but I think he's an exception. With a really good back story that explained the lack of alt. mode I'd consider buying this hypothetibot, but as kids expect two modes I can't see Hasbro doing it.
Why not make something like a new Punch/Counterpunch, 2 bot modes and a vehicle? I think that would go over a lot better.
And then there were the Mutant Beast Wars figures... with two animal modes but no robot mode. Those I liked!

thats been done by many of us. I was just thinking of bashing a bot with no alt mode but two distinct alt modes and wanted to know what was thought of it. he would be a non earth conflict bot.
Well are you doing it for yourself, or to sell? If you're doing it for yourself, who cares what others think.
I'd like to have a robot that disguises itself as a human. That would be better than a car or truck or something. They could pretend to be people... oh...
This is actually a pretty cool concept. Consider it: a Decepticon, say, robs a bank. When the cops come, he transforms into another robot and calmly walks away. Or, say that one is having an affair with another fembot...
because i feel that has been over done and in all reality i think the teams would notice eventually that two completly different guys look just alike in alt mode
