If you're bored enough and like to think about this kind of thing, list the existing toys and the repaints you want to see from them. Titanium, repaint and exclusive haters need not apply.


Cheetor - CATScan.
Makes sense. BM Cheetor wasn't recolored into anybody else and a Beast Machines Tigatron or Ravage wouldn't fit into the timeline. Has got to be CATScan... unless the character is somehow linked only to Botcon and not possible as a proper release. Or failing that, Night Slash Cheetor.

Jetfire - Overcast.
Overcast being the Energon character although Overcast's Energon bio would work for any Overcast repaint of Jetfire in any series.

G.I. Joe Megatron - Bludgeon
This Bludgeon would be the Destructicon from Robots in Disguise.

TWW Megatron - Megaplex
My usual choice for a Megatron repaint that shouldn't be Galvatron.

RiD Optimus Prime - Universe Optimus Prime
Yes, the yellow repaint of the actual RiD Optimus Prime toy. The head and body is too iconic to be Defensor or Hot Spot I say (and remolds appear to be non-existant in Titanium Series). Besides, I like Banana Prime.

TWW Prowl - Smokescreen
Although its unlikely for Bluestreak to get a TWW mold of his own despite him looking different enough to Prowl, I say Smokescreen because he wasn't in The War Within so we don't know what he looks like and it doesn't disrupt Bluestreak.

Rodimus Prime - Checkpoint
Another Energon character. This would make more sense than Menasor, the original Checkpoint being an Energon Rodimus repaint.

Scourge - Sweep
The only possible choice. I don't think an Alpha Trion repaint would work. Not sure what colors a Sweep should have as the original cartoon Sweeps were identical to Scourge. Purple perhaps?

The Fallen - Stormbringer Megatron
A difficult choice to think of. But The Fallen has Megatron's pre-earth body from the IDW comics. If the head won't be remolded, The Fallen's head should be called his Battle Helmet. Or something.

Ultra Magnus - Overload
The G1 Micromaster gets a full size body and is colored in Powered Convoy colors. I just want those Powered Convoy colors on this toy but I can't see Hasbro going for 'Powered Convoy' as an actual name.

 

You know, I think this is a pretty good idea... Micromaster Overload's cab has mostly the same colors as Powered Convoy's cab. Someone suggest this! (Although the catch would probably be that they could repaint Primes in blue and call them Overload)

 

G1 Magnus in Diaclone colors called "Overload" is an idea I've had myself a while ago.

 

Rodimus Prime could be repainted into an 'astral form' Primus - Takara released a similar repaint of the original Roddy mould a few years back.

Perhaps RiD Prime could be re-worked into Hot Spot?

And while I don't care for the mould, a Soundblaster repaint of Soundwave seems fairly self-explanatory.

Actually, we are going to be getting a Soundblaster repaint, lol. The only difference other than the color, is that he'll have Ravage instead of say, Buzzsaw as a repaint of Laserbeak. I'd love to see the WW Prime mold repainted into Kup (a remolded head would be nice, but, not that important in my opinion)

 

War Within Skywarp from War Within Thundercracker or Starscream. That's all I want.

Oddley enough, we're going to be getting that one too, lol. That is, if they don't decide to make a new mold for him, which would be doughtfull. It's not a repaint, but, I would absolutely love to see a 6" Titanium Shockwave.

 

I would love to see a WW Smokescreen. That would be cool. And I agree with you that it wouldn't interfere with Bluestreak, who looked different from Prowl. Although, that wouldn't stop Hasbro from just repainting Prowl into Bluestreak. They did a similar thing with Thundercracker into Starscream. WW SS doesn't look like WW Thundercracker either, but their Titaniums do. Oh, well. I don't really care if they do Bluestreak, just as long as Smokescreen gets the Titanium treatment.

I almost posted "G1 Galvatron" until I re-read the title again! LOL! But yeah, a Thundercracker and Skywarp repaint would be sweet!

 

Umm......Thundercracker was the origional coloring for the mold, so he's out of the way, and like I said earlyier, a Skywarp is on it's way.

 

I'd rather have Skywarp be a brand new mold. The TWW Seeker mold has been used enough times I say.

How about Titanium Skywarp being the Universe version but with his form based on Beast Machines Jetstorm's TV appearance instead of the deluxe BM toy. Would make good repaint fodder for Stormjet and Jhiaxus amongst others.

 

Primal Prime, Primal Prime, Primal Prime, Primal Prime....

 

I've got to vote for Bluestreak! (Though I like Smokescreen too.)

 

Magnus in Diaclone colors as Overload is a GREAT idea! The truck mode would be perfect, even down to the smokestacks being located on the side of the cab. And Magnus and Overload already have a pre-existing connection since they shared a mold in Energon.

People have already hit on most of the viable possibilities. The only additional ones ones that I could think of offhand are (and some of these are admittedly a stretch):

-Cheetor as Battle Ravage or G1 Rampage
-WW Jetfire as Darkwing (just to continue the trend of "Jetfire repainted into Powermaster Jet"), Silverbolt, or Powerglide (yeah, I jut like Powerglide)
-WW Seeker mold as Jhiaxus (although Sunstorm is already pretty close to that)
-Here's a weird one.... what about Scourge remolded (new head) as Ratbat or Mindwipe? His wings are very bat-like.
-GI Joe Megs into Megastorm... but only if they fix the mold

Okay, I'm outta ideas.... these guys don't really lend themselves to a lot of repaints.

Personally I'd rather them stick to the same mold for Skywarp since the other three are the same mold. I'd like to see a new mold for the coneheads for sure though.

Only other repaint I'd really go for is maybe a Nemesis Prime of the WW Prime mold...hate the mold, but can't get enough of that color scheme.

 

Ugh, with the exception of the Prowl mold no more repaints please.
