Hi Everyone,

First, I have to say I am really glad that I have found this site and so many of you who share the same passion and following of the Transformer series.

Today is my first time here to this board, and if you wouldn't, I would like to gather your feedback and information to a few of my questions. Any assistance is greatly appreciated very much.

1) I recall through the G1 series, we eventually came to the point that Transformers The Movie was released. At what point in the episode sequence did this movie appear that Optimus prime and others were killed off?

Episodes 1 through ?? (had Optimus Prime)

Transformers the Movie (Prime killed, Rodimus assumes leadership)

Episodes x through 95 (had Rodimus as leader up to the point of Prime's return)


A few things I remember are:
A) We come to a point that "contagious' spores are released and Optimus Prime is found somehow and brought back to life. What episode is this?
B) I remember another episode that Prime is on a spaceship flying into a Quintason (sp) ship where he is getting all badly damaged and shows that he dies. What episode was this one?
C) After that episode, does Optimus Prime return again? If so, what is the episode?

Thanks for helping to clarify some of this as my memory is very cloudy about the sequence of how all of this took place.

umm.... Movie is between 65 & 66 (5 faces of Darkness brings the Quints back along w/ WHY they had a thing for Kup & Hot Rod in TFTM).

DarkAwakening 73, I believe is 1st Prime wake-up (where Prime's all beat to hell)

94/95 Return of Op Prime is when he comes back for good; back thx to a Quint & OP uses the Matrix to counteract the hate plague/spores

TMK, Prime is still around in Rebirth, as Rodimus is still Hot Rod (haven't watched S3 in years)

 

A & C, Are part of the same "The Return Of Optimus Prime" mini-series, I forget what the episode numbers are?

B : was a few episodes eariler!

 

That's how I remember it.

I do wonder why, if he was all jacked up at the end of "Dark Awakening" how he was all in one piece when they found him and revived him in "The Return of Optimus Prime"? Oh well, it's just a show and we got Prime back.

 

Actually, Optimus Prime is back in Rebirth and Rodimus is Hot Rod again. Rebirth was season 4, and it took place after Return of Optimus Prime (boo  ).

there was some problems with the airing date and producing date of dark awakening, (IIRC it was supposed to air right before the plague episodes, but it was released 20 episodes earlier)
