ok, with botcon only a month away, does anybody think that we might see even a hint of what TF Heroes will look like? I only say this since Hasbro said the new series starts in fall, and we have gotten only slight tidbits of whats going on. I am willing to bet at least a look of the figures at either Botcon or maybe SDCC, which might be after the movie line has been on the shelves long enough so the fans won't stop buying movie figures. Or has Heroes been pushed back to later fall? We must know.

I personally think that they will focus on the movie line with probably not much info on Heroes. I am really curious what they will say about the Classics line and when someone finds out I would appreciate them posting about it.

Any and all news will posted right here, you needn't worry about that.

I'd imagine we'll get a teaser. Like perhaps an early concept of what they're planning to do with Optimus or something. Probably not much more than that.

Hsas it been confirmed that there is a sequel to transformers? If not it could be annonced that a sequel is in fact coming.

-More classics molds would be nice
-Some more movie tie-in figures would be good
-And please god let there be more real gear TF's

If what Tara Strong said was true, then we should be seeing something for Heroes at Botcon, possibly a complete episode (she reported that the series would begin airing shortly after the movie was released to cash in on the hype).

I'm expecting Hasbro to show at least a good portion of wave 1 for the line regardless when the series starts to actually air, keep in mind they showed most of wave 1 Energon at the convention a full 6 months ahead of the actual retail release.

I would not be particularly surprised one way or the other as far as Botcon. They might want to focus entirely on the movie, but then again if the series starts later in the fall Botcon would be the time to unveil the first toys and/or designs.

I wouldn't bet on anything new at SDCC. It's less than a month after Botcon, and Hasbro usually likes to withhold most stuff to Botcon even when they're months apart. I can't see them holding anything major back for SDCC.

I definately see the Hasbro panel being something like this.

"Movie toys are cool huh, here's some working shots"

"Look at these odd color ideas for repaints"

"Oh, here's the whole first wave of the new line, it'll be in the booth after you all get done drooling over the pictures."

makes sense, the movie figures are starting to filter into NJ now (the Target near me had Jazz, Bumblebee, Barricade, Brawl, and Bonecrusher, meaning that they either got the email from Hasbro saying to sell Deluxes or they where starting to put the movie figures out early) and it will probably be around August when the movie line dies down, so we probably won't see Heroes till probably between September and Christmas (I know, good figuring. I'm just going by the release time on Classics)

There's one event you guys have forgotten about. The Licensing International Expo is this month, from the 19th to the 21st.

Acording to Hasbro's page, among their products being showcased will be Transformers. Seeing as the movie is nearly out, I doubt there will be much focus on it at this point. Besides, Deals here wouldn't really produce anything until later in the year, at the very least.

Also, If you recall, we got our first glimpses of both Energon and Cybertron from this show.

Another good sign is that Hasbro has the second largest type of booth at the expo. 4Kids is the only one bigger. They're actually sharing it with their other company 4sight, so it kind of evens out.

We will see something at Botcon I figure, there are no surprises left for us really. And by the time of that panel, many in attendance would have already seen the movie, and we will have gotten our hands on a great deal of the toys.

We will see movie repaints I am sure, but I think the big surprise will be seeing some of the character drawings (maybe even a preview animation) and toy designs for Heroes.

As far as I know, it's still supposed to come out in the fall of this year.

You gotta remember that movie toylines can't last as long as a tv show toyline. If they don't do it this year, there'll be another big gap.

I can see them showing pictures of the Heroes deigns. Both the cartoon and some of the toys. However, I don't think any of the acutal toys/prototypes will be there. Those might be kept for SDCC. Botcon might be the "no photos" deal. Reason being is that if you are at Botcon, you are already likely to buy the toys. SDCC is covered by much more than TF sites. If they 1st show the physical toys there, it is more special than something seen before so it would more likely be covered more. With the added covereage from SDCC, the more possibility of people not into TF seeing them and wanting them.

The toys won't be, I doubt the show will either. The earliest I ever heard for the show was Dec '07, and since then I think everything has been saying Winter '08 (meaning Jan/Feb/March.)

The movie toyline will continue through this year, if not further. I don't think TFs is being treated like other movie tie-in toylines, as in it has a small window of time to sell, while the movie is current. It's always been a toyline first, so there's kind of that built in audience that's aware of it as a toyline and expect there to always be TFs on the shelves. Unlike, say, PotC, where there wouldn't be toys if there wasn't a movie, and they need the movie so people know what those toys are about. In other words, if there wasn't a TF movie, there would still be TF toys coming out this year, but since there is a movie, that's the style the TF toyline is going to take for the next year or so.
