For G1, I have to go with Prime and Jazz. Starscream was cool, but he just was too similar to Cobra Commander to me.

Beast Wars, Waspinator hands down. (tho I give mad props to Quickstrike for the obvious and character driven accent which was way overdone in Cybertron.)

My best of the best of the best voice actor performances:

Frank Welker as Soundwave, best TF voice ever!

Campbell Lane as Rampage in Beast Wars.

Brian Drummond as Jetstorm in Beast Machines

And finally Scott McNeil is a no brainer, probably the best TF voice actor ever with the most memorable performances and characters in the TF universe.

Oh and Cullen to but I don't think this even needs mentioning due to the mythic status as Prime.

Come on guys only Cullens voice as prime can give you goosebumps so his voice best hands down. I loved Welker for megs and soundwave megs should be more fearful then arrogent i like kaye but not as much as welker then i would have to go with Blaster the voice that always annoyed me was Wheelie and Perceptors. Starscreamer will never be the same with out Chris lending his voice but sadly that will never be heard again

Prime - I don't care whether it's G1 Cullen or Chalk's (which I didn't realize til partway thru S2 BW, I thought they'd done some digitizing of Cullen). I prefer Cullen slightly, but when it ain't corny, Chalk's done good.

Megatron - any but BW/BM (even if same actor, he was just tooo....nuts... yes...for me to take seriously). While I love Welker, Kayes has grown on me while watching Cybertron w/ my son. Look forward to hearing what Weaving does.

Barricade - I know, he hasn't been heard, but I'm w/ the poster that mentioned the fact that it's David Keith!! Robotic Thailog - oh yea!

Bumblebee - not quite a kid, but someone who was relatable.

Perceptor - he was just snobby enough, without being too much like SkyLynx was.

Starscream G1 - yea, it's Cobra Cmdr - but when doing hystrionics, captured SS's contempt for Meg & Autobots nicely.

Ratchet (g1) - while he didn't a lot, he did enough that when I read about him in fan fic, I can sooooo see him saying most of it, the gruff get-your-can-outta-here covering the god-when-is-this-*(%^ war-gonna-end caring that he's developed.

    Jazz - captured his hipness.

Chris Latta's Starscream, best voiced Transformer ever in my humble opinion. Loved his version of Wheeljack too.

Takashi Matsuyama (BW2 Megastorm/Powerhug, Neo Rockbuster, CR God Magnus), he makes them sound like real men, even a bug and a crab :lol

David Kaye and Scott McNeil, I'm not familiar with their BW voice acting but I liked them a lot as Megs and Jetfire in Armada.

The depth an power of Orson Wells' voice as Unicron made him my favorite TF voice actor.

I actually(sorry G1 fans) prefer David Kaye's voice, just for Megatron, to Frank Welker's. Frank's was just too raspy and didn't fit the character well, while David's was spot on being evil, smooth, and yes a bit cheesey sometimes.

I think Gary Chaulk tried a little too hard to sound like Cullen. The role of Prime are tough shoes to fill and my take is he did a great job.

    In no particular order

    G1:

    Starscream
    Soundwave
Grimlock (Season 1 & 2 when they put the 'growl' effect behind the dino's voices)
    Sludge (Heh cute stupid Sludge)
    Shrapnel
    Cyclonus
    Ironhide
    Jazz
    Wheeljack
    Dead End
    Swindle

    BW:

    Waspinator
    Rattrap
    Inferno
    Silverbolt
    Dinobot
    Tarantulas

Plus Ops & Megs from all generations have been great. I gotta say I prefer Welker to Kaye...rose colored glasses and all that;)  Plus I like the raspy Megatron voice.

not to change the subject, which i know i have a problem with,i remind you all that alot of these people are deceased--crothers,welles,etc.
i'd like to pause a moment and thank them posthumously for adding to tf,adding,in fact,a lot of what made us love it in the first place.

    G1:nimoy as galvatron
    berger as grimlock
    cullen as prime
    welles as unicron
    kasem as cliffjumper
    crothers as jazz

bw/bm:hell,most everybody, just because, unlike every other(including g1)the writers didn't semm to need to cram in everybody from the toys,so there was room for characterization, especially in the voices.

rid/unicron trilogy:eek: f all these the only one i recall enough to mention is cyb vector prime, who i believe was also bw rhinox...?

i'm on the fence on weaving, but love cullen's return.
i dig david as barricade, but am so downed by 'cade's toy versions,it's hard to root for him--decep police car idea rocks, tho'.
