    Just saw these for the first time on Friday at Target and TRU. Haven't been back to see if they have sold many, but neither place had a whole lot of them, even though there was really nothing else in the TF sections.

    I went to target this morning, and they still had a lot left.

    They seem to be pegwarming here. Hasbro really thought wrong with these as preview figures. They should have released Jazz or Brawl instead. I think most people will see these and be confused exactly what they turn into and will skip them. If they had put out figures that were actual vehicles, it would have been much easier to get people to buy them.

    Agreed. I bought Optimus but they should have put out a figure like Jazz or Barricade. What where the preview figures for the ROTS?? Wasnt it Darth Vader?? So why cant they release a major character for this movie too?? Yes prime is a major character but I mean in his car form?? Or again, at least Jazz.

    I can't believe people would pass on these two. their alt modes aren't that great, but the robot modes are amazing, and optimus prime is the most posable mainline prime we've EVER had.

    I had NO interest in the movie toys until I got the protoforms. now I can't wait for the line to hit.

    To be impartial, I think whether the other movie toys do any good will also be up in the air. Beings their robot modes look so different from all the other toy robots, it may be hard for the target buyer to like them enough to spend money on them. It should be interesting to see what the world does with these movie toys.

    14.99!? That's about $20. That's a total ripoff. You could probably order them online for less.

    Based on my own impressions, (admittedly biased) most 'casual buyers' (in this case I'll take the term as referring to people whose interest in the movie toys is directly tied to their interest in the movie) may barely notice or care about TF movie toys at all until they've actually seen the movie. By that time, the movie toys will be available in a full selection.

    Movie=120 minute commercial. :p

    And not just for toys... *Has a South Park: The Movie type of vision of Hasbro in bed with Chevy* :p

    Germany´s hella expensive!!! But even if I´d order them online I won´t pay less cause the shipping rates are too high. :(
    But 14,99 is good for me.

    Not really.

    I think someone bought one of each, but I havn't noted anymore sold in my trips to Traget, which is the only store that has them.

    How is it "immaturity" to call something what it looks like? Sarcasm doesn't equal immaturity. It's just an opinion. Get over it.

    Then maybe you haven't considered that some fans are more frugal with their money. And maybe some of us are saving our money for the more expensive Movie toys when they're released. I'd much rather have another $10 to put toward Ultimate Bumblebee or Leader-class movie Prime, than spend it on a protoform Prime that's most assuredly going to end up on clearance later.

    "Amazing" seems rather exaggerative. And I didn't say I hated it. I said it seemed a decent figure, just that the alt-mode looks like crap.

    Highly posable or not, that's the reason I'm not paying $10 for it.
