What were Megatron's most bad a$$ moments? I'm talking those moments that would strike pure fear in the hearts of any human being or autobot he was close to. Those moments where he would terrorize a human being, or instill despair and fear to any autobot. I know in the first DW commic he actually squished a human being. And there were many times he picked up a human or something to that effect to intimidate them, but I don't remember what episodes or scenes it was. Do you all recall these kind of moments? I'm looking for Megatrons' most intimidating moments. All autobots every where shall fear him, and all Decepticons revere & admire him!
"Such Heroic Nonsense" then blasting Ironhide is right up there. The whole final fight with Optimus would be on the list as well. I'd also say blowing Starscream in half in his first appearance in the IDW-verse is pretty damn cool. Also, the Battle of Sherman Dam. If we're going by all the Megatrons, I'd say Armada Megatron's fight with Starscream and his fight with Optimus in the last episodes deserve to be on there. And probably Megatron killing three Autobots with his Death Machine Gun in Cybertron as well.
I'd have to go with his blasting of Ironhide point blank in the movie. And his crushing Brawl's head in the Marvel comic. And zombie-looking Megatron shooting Grimlock across the room in the G2 comic. If Galvatron counts, I'd add disintigrating Starscream in the 86 movie.
For G1 megs, blasting Ironhide. For BW megs, blasting Optimus Prime's head into little pieces. For A/E/C megs, It would be using Scorponok as a meat shield. Literaly. For movie megs, until we actualy see the flick, it would be tearing Bumblebee's voicebox out in the prequel comics.
How about Megatron's worst hits? Like the time he worked with shady businessman Shawn Berger to discredit the Autobots using one example of a faked Autobot attack.... and forgot to edit out the parts where we see the Decepticons stripping out of their Autobot costumes. Or how about the time he worked with middle eastern criminals to secure oil by stealing fighter jets, cutting them out, smuggling them out and then rebuilding them? Oh, let's not forget his Giant Purple Griffin. Seriously, that's the best G1 Megatron ever did.

The time he rigged Optimus Primal's escape pod so it would trap him in the explosion of the Vok weapon. The time he found the Ark and blasted Optimus Prime in order to rewrite history. The time he ripped G1 Megs' spark out and implanted it in his own body. And, of course, the time he reactivated the Nemesis and nearly destroyed the Maximals. Oh, and Cyb Megatron's near-slaughter of Hot Shot, Red Alert, and Scattershot was also awesome. As was the time Energon Megs dived in on the Autobots while using Scorponok as a Transformer shield (as opposed to a human shield). Oh, and G1 Megs? Well, I guess he could yell "Decepticons retreat!" really well. That's kinda badass, I suppose.
The scene which has yet to be shown on-screen or in print - the conquest and enslavement of Cybertron prior to the beginning of Beast Machines! Yessss.... Gary

Comics: Megatron's recent fights in the IDW comics have been memorable, he decimated his own troops, and destroyed starscream in the first mini. And his fight with prime during escilation was awesome. Beast Wars: All the previously mentioned ones, as well as killing his own troops during the last episode. G1: Every thing he did in the movie, Brining cybertron to earth, and some of his I'm not dead yet sceens from season 1. The one with him coming up out of the lava comes to mind.
TF:TM really did show Megs's killing potential, although this is only because those toys were not selling anymore and it was off with their heads. BW - Trapping Primal in pod. BM - conquering Cybertron Armada - (as Galvatron) fighting Prime in final ep Cybertron - gunning down 3 Autobots Movie - sounds like he's going to be incredibly badass.
Some really good moments have been brought up here. Though I'm kind of suprised at the apparent hostile dislike of G1 megs with some of our posters here. He did have his moments, good and bad. But then so did they all. I mean do I need to bring up the Rubber Ducky moment? I like the good ones that have been pointed out. This is going to be kept in a vault for a future project down the road so I was really looking for ideas from you guys. So far so good. To be honest, I'm really looking for the original Megatron's moments, but what ever floats your boat I guess. I also really like scenes that it looks like Megs could possibly squish or flick a human to death. I think there was a moment like that in "Traitor" but it's been so long I forget. There was also a really good moment where Megatron tore through a wall and went all Rambo on a bunch of human tech opperators. He blasted every computer station in like a second. I forget the episode but it was in season 2, and some where around the production order of Megatron's Master Plan.
Ever notice most of Megatron's (Any Megatron) greatest (cartoon) victories invariably happen off-screen? G1 Megs has taken over most of Cybertron before the original cartoon series starts, and drives the Autobots completely off the planet between Season 2 and the movie. Likewise, BW Megatron manages to completely subjugate Cybertron seemingly singlehandedly between the Beast Wars and Beast Machines series. Whenever the cameras are on, they can't definitively beat even a small pocket of opposition. Must be the cameras.
^In writing, that is called conflict. You need it to create a decent story. It's what drives the story. It's exactly why they gave Superman Kryptonite and an arch enemy that knows him inside and out, even if Superman still always wins in the end.
