So one of the shows I went to, I believe it was OTFCC 2003, the "World's Smallest Transformers" had just come out. I remember going with Tim Formas and I want to say Jeff (Primus) and buying box after box trying to hunt down the "rare" figures, which would be Optimus Prime's trailer and Cliffjumper.

At Cybercon II (Mt. Laurel NJ) I believe it was, Binaltech had just come out in Japan and Image Anime had just received theirs and had a few cases at the show. I had Elvin, who knows the peeps personally, snag me one and hold it. I also made sure it was the #7 car as we were getting the #8 in the states (I believe that's right) ... I still remember someone yell out "OH MY GOD THEY HAVE BINALTECH!" and people from all over the dealer room came running.

BotCon 2006 would have to be a tie between Classics, which were put out at TRU that Thursday night of the show (come on, there's too much irony there), and Masterpiece Starscream. Except that the people who had Classics did little dances, while the people with Screamer swore and cursed the Gods for the condition of their toy (or maybe that was just Draven?)

    Ahh yes, memories. :)

I remember CyberCon II, Binaltech Smokey in our hotel room and Devilzfan taking his out of the box. :)  You and Elvin telling me where to get it and getting one of the last number 7s.... and KS getting the raffle one.

Nothing pissed me off more than finding out at OTFCC that WST Wave 1 Prime's Trailor was a chase figure! Every piece of news we heard about for WST Wave 1 made it seem like Thundercracker (or Skywarp, I can't remember which) and Cliffjumper were the only chase figures, which seemed fine to me as they are both repaint figures. When I bought my box of 12 at Botcon and opened them, no trailer, wtf!?

I remember when Takara Collection Reissue Jazz and Prowl come out around at Botcon time, maybe it was 2001. I had mine on preorder, so I had to wait. poor me :)

At Botcon '06 someone behind me in the reg line was handed a bag of Classics deluxes from a Toys R Us raid. First thing in the dealer room, I saw someone selling Classics Bumblebee for $20, (quite likely from the very same Toys R Us) which I snapped up immediately. Classics was synonymous with Botcon 06 for me. Even though I only layed my hands one up-priced Bumblebee at the con itself, I was ever so happy at the time.

I can't remember which Botcon it was but I do remember going and hearing the horror that they were gonna reissue original G1 molds..... I thought, there goes my collection down the tubes. The hobby is over, prices will drop my collection will be worthless. Of course we all know now that although some prices came down it just wasn't the case. Still I remember how pissed I was.
