I just wanted a metaphorical shoulder upon which I can cry for a short while :)

Having moved into my new house, I decided to remove all of my prized transformers from my parents house. My mother kept complaining about how much space they took up, so not moving them was out of the question. Although my girlfriend was not too happy about having them, she really had not choice :)

Once they were all moved over, I thought it would be a good idea to make sure they all made the trip in one piece. It appears that I mislaid my cassette bots. All of them originals and in great condition.

This happened just before Christmas and in the time since, I have gone back to my parents on several ocassions to double check that I didn't leave them there with my other junk. But to no avail :(

So today, I checked once more at my parents house only to come back empty handed. I have decided to stop looking for them now and accept the lose. So this is my way of saying goodbye to Frenzy, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Eject, Rewind, Steeljaw and my favourite, Ratbat.

In a bizarre twist of fate, I still have the weapons for each of them in a little box. All very shiny without any wear :(

Thank you for reading, back to lurking for me :)

I definitely feel your pain...one of my mom's piano students stole all of mine I had as a kid...I didn't know that was the case until ten years later and he wrote us apologizing for it...I had to resort to ebay to get them back when i got back into collecting...so i really hope you can find yours! Good luck!

    wow

Luckily my parents built a room for me on their "dream house" so I had finally got all of my stuff out of storage and have it their, still getting some pieces now and again to have around in my current house with my GF.

Sorry to hear this man you think the GF dumped them? and missed the small box due to it being small? Hate to have to pose the question but some people are pretty rough.

    junkion exchange

all you have to do is find loose cassettes. If you have weapons already, then that means you don't have to pay as much. Ravage and Laserbeak should be extra cheap considering they were JUST reissued, and vintage value went down as a result.

That sucks man..but they may still turn up. I once lost my Windcharger for like 3 years, to the point where I was about to just buy another one. I've got so much crap that accessories occasionally get put in a different box than the figure, causing frustration later when I can find one and not the other.

That's sad, I've got a similar experience too. Though I haven't moved, over the years I've lost some TFs despite them being in storage   And just like you, I have some accessories left for my missing Devastator and Reflector (though I still have one broken bot from Reflector).

Disapearing bots is a mystery ;)

Thanks everyone, glad to hear that I am not the only person to have mislaid bots and also nice to get some many messages of sympathy.

The G/F would not have thrown them away, she is no fan but she respects my hobby.

The annoying thing is that I can remember where I last saw them, but after that, I haven't got a clue where they went :(

I will just have to get the kiss pay cassettes in the meantime, to placate myself. Boy, I miss those cassettes of Blasters so much :(

    Cheers everyone.

I mourn your loss. If it's any consolation, www.agesthreeandup.com have a nifty KO Ratbat and Frenzy set for about $20.

Damn, man. Sorry to hear that.

I can relate, I lost a bunch of Beast Wars figures in a move. Not quite the same thing as losing some great G1 toys, though.

Hopefully they will turn out to have been somewhere so ridiculous and unlikely (but safe) that you just never thought of looking there.

Yeah, that sounds like jus the sort of thing I would do.

I would have thought, 'hey, I will put these somewhere safe so that I dont lose them' and then promptly go and forget where I put them ;)

Ages 3 And Up may be the way forward at this point. Some good KOs may help ease the pain.

I have done that more times than I care to think about. It's ridiculous, really.

The Ages 3 And Up thing I may go for if I get the reissue Soundwave. Always wanted a Ratbat.

I can share your pain man; I had a Laserbak once with a Broken head and a Ravage minus weapons, plus some Micromaster I really liked and a few other things, but since I didn't help sort the toys during the huge Garage sale my parents decided to throw I wound up losing them. Plus for some annoying reason my Beast Wars Razorbeast lost his Mane/Gun weapon while in Storage and I never could find the damn thing before we moved, I just don't understand how it could have dissapeared unless one of my cousins/friends took off with the gun for some reason.
