I found a transformer in my closet
it transforms into a yellow firetruck

it has a selector on its chest that switchs from white to yellow when a dial is turned

it says nagoya tv'97 Takara on the sirial code

it has blue knee things that you flip up in robot mode the sticker on them is a red triangle on a black back ground i would take a picture of it but my digital camera is f@#ked up

and it has a silver arial on the right side of its head and a lightning bolt of its fore head

 

no idea

 

i checked all the takara databases i think it is japenese machine wars since its '97

 

please fix that camera, if you can't, find a pic of it off the internet and post it for us so we can help

If it is a Knock-off, see what the quality it is. Does it feel like your other transformers? Try Omegus Prime's picture for reference.

 

Not a Transformer, but a Brave. He's Rairyu (lightning dragon) from the Brave series Gaogaigar, he's actually a dumptruck, one of the other versions of the mold was a firetruck (Enryu).

Combined with Furyu, a green cement mixer, he forms Gekiryujin. He also combines with the fourth of the dragon mecha, Horyu, to form Genryujin. Got a couple of pics, too:



Here's the four Ryus along with Gaigar, the main hero of the series they came from. Left to right, Enryu, Furyu, Gaigar, Rairyu, and Horyu. They're also got their accessories with them there.



Here's the combined modes, with Energon Omega Supreme and Exkaiser's Ultra Raker. On the left is Rairyu and Horyu, as Genryujin, on the right, Enryu and Furyu form Goryujin. Awesome toys.

Would you happen to mean a round grey plug, about 1/3 to half an inch wide, attached to a decent length "T" shaped bit of plastic? That's actually a connector peg, used on all four molds for the different vehicle mode parts to mount on, he's got another one tucked away too which is where Choryujin / Horyu and Enryu attach their crane and ladder respectively in combined form.

Yep, that would be the connector, then. The yellow dump truck bed would have attached there for vehicle mode, in robot mode you'd have removed it, the plug goes into a different position, then the dump bed attaches using a different socket to that peg.

Rairyu can also stand in the dump bed, like he's riding it like a surfboard  

 

I remember those guys, I never did get one, rest assured I had my eye on them for a long while as a young'n. Wow, it took -years- to figure out what they really were, and they still don't look that bad...I say its time I hit ebay.
