Yea, Cybertron Sideways has the benefit of actually having a personality rather than being a plot device ala Armada Sideways. Cybertron Sideways has a better toy also, but I am one of the few that enjoys Armada Sideways toy as well. It's a fun fiddle fodder gimmicky toy.

 

Never watched the shows, so just judging by the toys alone it's not even a contest. Cybertron wins.

 

Definitely Cybertron. Toy and show. More personality, better (IMO) color scheme. Just all around better.

 

Armada. Cybertron does have a much better toy, but I prefer how Armada gets new faces to change his faction.

Cybertron's got the better toy overall, but I would say that the Armada toy accomplished the "faction switching" thing to better effect. Different heads > swapping symbol. Sideways was one of the few interesting things about the Armada cartoon, but his goofball personality in Cybertron was also highly entertaining.

 

Cybertron Sideways was a bit of goof. Armada Sideways was cold and calculating. I don't like goofballs so Armada wins. Except for the toys. Actually, Cybertron Sideways was pretty cool when he first showed up but i grew to dislike him when he captured the kids.

During Armada, Sideways was first a lackey of Unicron then during his final few episodes, it was revealed that Sideways was actually Unicron all the long (which doesn't explain why Sideways was talking to Unicron as if they were two seperate beings...)

 

Love Arm sideways personality, nut love the cyb sideways mold a lot better

 

I loved my ARM Sideways, I wish I had never lost him.

I would say it's hard armada sideways is a cool biker with switchable heads,
while cyb sideways is a bada$$ stealth fighter ,I'll go for cyb sideways

 

Cybertron Toy and Show. Anyway, I still like Armada's Sideways beacuse of the two versions with the Minicon swaps.

 

I actually prefer Armada Sideways. I was never a fan of Cybertron Sideway's mono-boob.

 

I quite like the CYBERTRON toy, especially the lack of face, but prefer the ARMADA version for the motorcycle rider 'gimmick'. It isn't as cool as the cartoon version (too squat & lacking a waist) but works well enough for me to consider it my favourite.

Can't judge the onscreen personalities as I never watched the CYBERTRON cartoon, but I always loved his ARMADA voice and underlying cowerdice.

In terms of characterisation, personality and acting, Armada Sideways by far. He actually plausibly manipulated both sides, with the goal of giving neither side the advantage so they could not unite against Unicron. Ep 23 has him trying to remove Megatron from power (whom he sees as a weakness to the Decepticons) in light of their mounting defeats, but is surprised that the failure of his plan strengthened the resolve of the Dcons anyway.

Cybertron Sideways/Noizemaze is awful. In a show filled with comic-relief Transformers (better ones such as Ransack and Crumplezone), we get somebody whose faction switching gimmick is merely there JUST to point out that the toy has it and once more when the Autobots forget he was the guy that attacked them randomly some 5 episodes earlier. He's goofy, yet spectacularly unfunny. He can't fight, he can't plot, and once Starscream Grows Big (the slide into craposity of the series), he becomes a moron who is very easily defeated by the three kids.

Terrible, just terrible.

 

Cybertron Sideways. so many times i saw him at the store and almost got him, but i never actually did. i seriously regret it because i cant find him anywhere.

 

Dude buy the three pack of tru, its worth it =).Thats how i just aaquired mine and im telling you that three pack is wroth every cent since it includes the brimstone and the sideways but also thunderblast. Anyways, C. Sideways for the toy but Armada for the show like the bikerider aspect and also the interchangeable faces just kicked ass.
