Hello, my wife just ordered me beast wars neo deadend(nautilus). any way i checked tv nihon and you tube and cant find much n the way of beast wars neo video. is there a place I could find a clip of him in action. thanks

Dead End is an ammonite, an extinct cephalopod, not a nautilus, as he still keeps to the BW Neo Destron theme of being an extinct animal.

I gotta dig out my Neo guys. They're some of the best of all the Beast era. Did you know two more of them, Cohrada and Archadis, are going to be reissued soon?

i dont like cohrada's head sculpt, but the fact that he's a snake makes up for it. also, your wife actually buys you transformers? i have to drag my girlfriend with all my might into TRU just to look for five minutes. lucky.

 

let me put it this way. i bet my wife she couldnt name ten transformers SHE NAMED 83 OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she wants beast wars neo STAMPY cuz she says he is cute.

 

Dead End appears in the majority of the episodes of BW Neo. I don't know where that 3 episode stuff is coming from on Seibertron. After the first few episodes, not every member of the Predacon team is featured heavilly, but they're in pretty much all the episodes as a generality, especially as there's only 5 Predacons or so in the series.

There's a fan dub out there that's done the first 9 episodes, http://www.tfcog.net/ if you're interested. (Not the best of dubs [No offense to anyone involved], but it's a dub)

BW Neo is my personal favorite series. I loved the idea of the galactic hunt, the idea that instead of factions, we're dealing with the crews of two ships, that the Captains Big Convoy and Magmatron have a rivalry, but still respect each other, and that the Maximal crew is a bunch of newbies, with a very unsocial leader. Also, IMHO, it produced some of the best figures we've ever seen, and the only TF Alarm clock figure. It produced many of my favorite transformers, including Black Big Convoy, which at times is my favorite Transformer.

On the downside, it's a bit harder to come by pieces (And they're pricier), the show was a bit too juvinille, and most people know almost nothing about it. (As evidenced) In addition, if you followed the manga, you had had the same dilemma G1 fans had with Comic vs. Cartoon, in the series vs the manga; these were absolutely unreconcilable continuities.

As for Stampy... Well, let's just say that Stampy seems to win the hearts of the ladies.

Dead End is a great little toy. Pity he never got a US release, since he's one of the more quirky designs to come out of that series.

 

I can't wait to see him and the other Neo characters in the upcoming BW profile books.

 

I just got my Cohrada yesterday and I agree...I hate the sh*t-eating grin on his face....but the alt mode is pretty damn sweet. Plus he was much bigger than I thought he'd be too!

By the way Rumble02, I'm jealous. I so want to get a Dead End.

 

Nor me, imaginary animals (though not fiction when he was created, like Dinobot) don't do it for me.

Wasn't it said that the Archaeopteryx was really the Velociraptor? When they concluded that Raptors had feathers and were two feet tall?

 

I love the NEO figures. Unfortunately, i'm one of those people that doesn't know much about the series... (and I need to remember to get back to Syd...).

But the figures... wow. Even the worst figure in the line (Hardhead, IMO) is still pretty decent. All of them except for Randy and his Gold Plastic Sydrome are pretty sturdy. Awesome quirky designs like Corahda, Arcadis, Break, and Stampy. Two very nice leader figures in Magmatron and Big Convoy. And lest I forget... the greatest TF figure of all time! MACH KICK!!!!

There really isn't a figure I don't like in the line. I'm only missing 2 - Elphaorpha, and Black Big Convoy. Elphaorpha is *supposedly* in the mail and taking forever to get here from Malaysia, though.
