I bought them all. They are the best Transformers in a long time.

...then I see the movie toys...blech!

I have waited a LONG TIME for poseable G1 toys...and I got them! But I want more!

This movie better sell ALOT, only to provide profit for Hasbro to make more classics molds! (I am a huge fan of the M.O.T.U. stactions) =love for the 80s!

I'm of mixed feelings about the movie toys, but at least there's going to be SO DAMN MANY of them, most people are bound to find something they like. :)

    (but yeah, me likeee Classics)

    I agree,
the classics are the closest thing to G1 that are actually poseable (aside from Takara's Masterpieces, which are just...GODLIKE, gotta get megs!).
I only have a problem with the colouring of the classics megatron, perhaps they'll release Galvatron soon, and it should be fine colourwise 'cause he's not a gun.
I picked up Grimlock, excellent design. I stood him next to my Palisades G1 statue, it's SOO DAMN CLOSE!, only thing is I wished they made him bigger :(
    Great designs these Classics

    CLASSICS ALL THE WAY!!!

Movie toys do nothing for me. Oh I'll see the movie for sure, but as of now movie related merchandise and toys do absolutely nothing for me.

I guess I'm getting old. But If there was more classics on the way I'd buy them in a New York second.

Totally opposite view here - A total of three CLASSICS toys impressed me while the movie toys have piqued my interest across the board, character wise.

    Can't please everyone eh?

    You're right, can't please everyone.

The point is they should, in some capacity, continue the Classic line. Even if it's just 5-6 figures per year. Alternators have become redundant, I have zero interest in Titaniums, so for me Classics is the only thing interesting for me TFs wise. Masterpiece Megatron is an exception, is ungodly awesome.

Hasbro really under-estimates the interest in the Classic Line. So many G1 characters awaiting a re-do.

    Godspeed

Classics? Posable?! Ha! Don't get me wrong, they're still my favorite line and I will get them all. But of the many things classics are, posable, they are not.

However, I am shitting my pants on a daily basis waiting for these movie toys.

I'm not seriously shitting myself, it's just a figure of speach.

Yeah Classics Mirage is like the most posable TF ever made. Anyway, Classics are so sweet I love them. Still can't find Grimlock and Jetfire though. That makes me sad.

I am very much so looking forward to the movie toys. Real Gear bots, Ironhide, Blackout, Whip-It-Bee and so much more.

The classic designs are great but they're marred by half assed, sloppy paint jobs.

I love the classics. Especially Jetfire. I just found one the other day and I think it is in my top 5 favorite TF's ever!

you cant just say the whole line isnt posable. Sure, many of the figures, Jetfire in particular, could use better articulation points, but the line itself is about the same level as Energon. And let's not forget that Mirage is probably THE most posable TF in history, and he's part of this line

I just got Ramjet and Cliffjumper last week.

Pros; Cliffjumper's head is molded red plastic, not painted red, and Ramjet's face appears show accurate (at least to me).

Cons; Ramjet's nosecone is a little too short and Cliffjumper's bio says he has gun, but one wasn't included.

I guess I'm just easy to please. I love the Classics, love many of the movie toys, and have even been won over by the Titaniums. I guess whatever your preference, this is a good year for Transformers collectors.

(My true love has still gotta be the Alt/BT line, though.... I hope that one gets revitalized after the movie/Classics flood.)

The Classics are by and large great, but not perfect. I have my gripes with a few of them, but they are the best thing to cure that G1 itch, and for that, it succeeds quite well.

My beef with movie figures is only if they don't look similar to the movie design. Take Leader class Op - me no likey because when I look at renders, he looks nothing like it. Well, if only he looked better and not worse... I think the deluxes and voyagers fared better as a whole. With that said, I wish we could someday get non-movie mainline figures with licensed car/truck/etc alt modes. :D

I love classics too, but Hasbro should be thanking ME for buying so many of them. :D

Not only for me, but for all my kids, and as gifts for other people's kids.

These things are a hit - well done Hasbro, well done.

AMEN! Classics (IMO of course) are the best TFs ever released. I still gotta buy doubles of all of them to keep in the packages...
