Anyway, after years of saying "I have NES, SNES, N64 and I suck at all of them, why would I need a new game system?!" I cracked yesterday and bought a PS2. I saw the Armada game in the bargain bin and was tempted to buy it but I wanted to get some feedback first. Pluses? Minuses? Is it worth $20?
Thanks in advance. |

As for the game itself, it's not that bad. The controls are kind of a pain, and it is a surprisingly difficult game, but it's kinda fun to be able to transform and drive around slamming into Decepticlones.

Secondly, YES. The Armada game is a whole lot of fun. The gameplay is pretty straightforward, the shoot-'em-up aspect can get hard - as it should. Also, the visuals are fantastic.
It's a really, really fun game.
PS: Let me know if you really get into the game, because I have the complete guide to the game and would be happy to get rid of it for supercheapo. EPISODE 4 IS UP! This time around, we discuss THE RISE OF THE SUPERSTAR CUSTOMIZER! |

- Strong responsive game play - Closest comparison is XBox's Halo
- Challenging enemies
- Realistic environments
- Environments don't have any invisible walls
- Cut scene and gameplay graphics are very close to identical
Cons - Some parts can be frustrating
- Some of the boss Decepticons can be cheap if you're not careful
- Unicron isn't as challenging as the other Decepticons are
But overall this is a STRONG game. Definitely the best TF game out there. Which I guess doesn't say muc since there aren't that many to begin with BotCon 2006 |

I can't even count the numerus times I've replayed it.
And a tip, when you've completed the game a couple of times try using the "every minicon" "unlimited powerlink" and "unlimited stealth" cheats and check out the decepticlones close up, they're realy well detailed and the AI is quite impressive (if you teas them that is ) |

It is a blast to play though. You won't find a better TF game out there. I just hope the games for the upcoming movie are friggin' sweet.
A sweet TF game is something I have craved almost as much as the new movie.
