since the line is winding down and almost over, what in your opinion was the best Alt and the worst Alt.

    My pics are......
    Best Alt: Smokescreen
Worst Alt: Optimus Prime(It may be the only Alt I still have, but, i still think he is the worst one.)

Since I dont own them all, I am gonna shoot out on a limb with mine and say..

Best: Hound. IMO the most deserving of an upgrade/homage. The transformation was solid, and not overly frustrating like alot of the Alts are. Meister is a close second place for this spot though too.

Worst: again, this is IMO but I would say it would have to be Sideswipe. He is the one that I just dont want to play with at all when i do pull out the rest of my Alternators from storage. His car mode is nice, but I think the robot mode sucks.
Honerable mention goes to Windcharger and Decepticharge...not because the toys suck, but because Honda America was ******ed and wanted the barrells removed. It really hurts the figure overall.

Best: tie Smokescreen & Meister Great transformation, excellent posablility and beautiful looking alt modes.

Worst: Tracks/Battle Ravage it just doesn't thrill me

Best: probably Grimlock. I really like Nemesis Prime and Tracks, but Grimlock's got them beat in articulation. His proportions are pretty nice, his transformation is complex without being as annoying as Skids or Prowl (imo), his colors work well. He's just a good all around figure.

Worst: the S2000 mold. I know a lot of people would say the Viper is the worst, but if I had to choose I'd take the Viper over this. It's not a bad mold, it's just lackluster compared to pretty much all of the others (again, imo). Of course, I dont dislike ANY Alts, so I still think it's a good toy in and of itself.

Best: Mirage/Hot Rodimus. clean lines, great transformation, awesome car.

Worst: Tracks/Battle Ravage : Looks like a corvette on it's nose, & the legs are impossible to put back without MAJOR fiddling & pushing to the point of breaking. (if you have the BT versions, good luck keeping them paint chip free.) Also getting the Engine out of it's compartment is a P.I.T.A.

Best....I would honestly have to say the mazda RX8 Mold. Favorite goes to the Acura RSX mold.

Worst...well I don't think any are bad, love them all, however I have to go the with Dodge SRT10 Pick Up. It just sucks. I don't care for it that much unless it is in truck mode. Least Favorite goes to Ricochet AND rollbar, where I like those molds, those two characters are just crap and ugly colors and I feel like they were just a waste of space on shelves in stores.

Best of the Alternators is that they released original G1 Autobot characters like Hound, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Mirage, Wheeljack, Skids, Windcharger, Tracks, Prowl, Jazz, Silverstreak & Smokescreen in newly updated, larger & realistic design forms to make for a wicked looking G1 team next to Masterpiece Convoy/Prime.

Worst of the Alternators is that they completely ignored other main characters like Bumblebee, Trailbreaker, Brawn, Cliffjumper, Ironhide & Ratchet in place of releasing crap like Camshaft, Rollbar, Swindle, Shockblast, Ravage x 2, Rumble, Ricochet, Prime, Nemesis Prime & Grimlock instead. Another perfect example of Hasbro not properly doing or finishing something they started, leaving the collectors somewhat screwed... again.

    Best: Meister or Shockwave

An improvement on the already excellent Subaru mould. Highly posable robot mode, beautiful alt mode.

    Worst: Rollbar

Nothing wrong with the mould as such, it's just the weakest of the weak repaints. I only got him, Ricochet and Camshaft for the sake of completeness, but whereas Ricochet and Camshaft have grown on me, Rollbar has not.

Just going by the ones I have, I'd award best to the Mustangs, especially Wheeljack. There's just something about him, that I preffer over Grimmy. Could be that I was never a Grimlock fan.

Worst, would be the Vettes. The legs are just annoying, and the arms have rather restricted movement

Worst and Best...It's a rather hard choice to make, But for my worst i'll have to say the Corvette mold, still a great figue but I find he's kibble seems to interfer with the bot a fair bit and while he's not the only one who suffers from that he is my pick. Now for the Best, i'll have to say its down to Prowl, Grimlock and Skids. I dunno going to say Prowl for now.

For a amazing line, the worst thing about it is the misuse of some molds on some bots and repaints. Also feel like they shouldn't of been release as fast that they were especially towards the end, maybe then we would be getting more new design and better changes of finding them.

    Best: Meister and Mirage.

    Worst:
    Sideswipe and Windcharger.
Just don't like how either of them look.

They all have their good points though. Well, except for Rollbar, who's just unnecessary Imo.

Best: Mirage (and Hot Rodimus, but he's no Alt)

    Worst: Optimus Prime.

    Honorable mention: Meister and Shockwave.

The best is Silverstreak. He has a great mold, excellent poseability, and a better color scheme than Smokescreen.

My worst pick is Sideswipe. Lack of poseability in robot mode, and the worst looking of the three Vipers in vehicle mode.

Best: Mirage. I love the GT mold, and the robot mode is simply amazing. Extra props go to Kiss Rodimus for the drop down visor and the arm cannon.

Worst: Wheeljack and Grimlock. Don't get me wrong, the figures are great, and they are two of my all time favorite characters, but when it takes me 15 minutes to transform a Voyager sized figure, it gets a black mark in my book.

    Best: Mirage

Worst: Prime/Nemesis Prime. At best it looks like a Gobot wearing a power suit.
Perhaps it's not possible to design a solid Alt that turns into a truck with an open flat bed.

Wasted Oppurtunity: Grimlock - a bit more complex than other molds, but the fact that parts tend to fall off in transformation really weakens the toy.

Best: Jazz and Mirage. Fantastic toys, both.

Worst: Wheeljack (not Grimlock, love Grimlock) and Windcharger. Also the way Decepticons were shoehorned into the line without a lot of thought and at the expense of a couple of Autobots. Also the incredible lameness that was Decepticharge.

I've only got Alts 1 - 10, so I'd have to say out of those Grimlock is my favourite, because he's a great car and just looks and feels so powerful in robot mode. Love the sword too. Special shout out to Tracks.

Worst would have to be Sideswipe - although he's still pretty cool. Dead End is better though.

Uh-huh! Wheeljack is bringing sexy back! He is so cool, sitting in my display case holding that giant sword, looking like some kind of giant robot samurai... But I can't award him the title of "best." As sexy as he is, he's just not quite Wheeljack to me.

Best: Hound - Has the truest G1 homage, and one that was long overdue. Tracks could have tied him for best had Hasbro waited just a little longer and done the 6th generation Corvette Z06 instead of the 5th generation.

Worst: Ravage (Corvette) - I can't get past the head, and apparently neither could Hasbro since we are now looking forward to a Ravage redo. He will be much sexier in his new mold, and much more fitting as a Jaguar.
