Total bummer to hear this about BWII and Neo. Still I would very much like to see them so I can judge for myself. I did not mind some of the off the wall humor in Beast Wars. Such as the fart or Waspinator getting squished flat and falling like a leaf. Hell, Megatron and his rubber duck was the poop!

I still say dumbing down a TV show is a bad move. Not just for the sake of adult fans, but for the sake of kids. I truly believe that alot of kids can enjoy a cartoon like Transformers even if it had a more mature theme. I'm not saying it would need to be needless violence, but a more in depth story line. And if the kid does not understand something, then the parent can get involved and help explain the idea.

Not a bad fandub, surprisingly. Well, Scuba's voice is pretty awful, but that's fine, he hardly ever talks, anyway.

The first few episodes and the last few episodes of BWII aren't so bad...it's everything in-between. It meanders on for 43 freakin' episodes of recycled anime gags and bland animation. Things really nosedive when the Jointrons show up. Their wacky Mexican stereotype schtick was funny for, like, 10 minutes. Then it just got annoying fast.

Beast Wars Neo isn't nearly as bad as BWII, and I really hate to lump it in with that one. The first half of the series can be a bit boring, but with the settings changing every episode, it doesn't get NEARLY as repetative as BWII.

    And the Blentrons are hardcore.

I hope it doesn't takes another 15 years to see both BW series out in DVD (it happened with Masterforce and Victory). I know there are official VHS releases from Pioneer, but VHS sucks.

From what I've been able to find, Pioneer didn't even release the entire series on VHS, just the beginning of both shows.

Personally, I'd probably buy BWNeo if it came out on DVD. It had a strong finish. BWII I might buy for the sake of completing my collection, though I already own the series on bootleg VHS tapes. The picture quality isn't great, but niehter was the quality of the show's writing or animation.

QFT. I was in Japan when the tapes came out. I was able to get the original Beast Wars in VHS, but they were also very expensive (around $40 each tape with 3 episodes) so I had to skip the BW Second, which had all the episodes released. I don't know about BW Neo though.

I think both are good long run TV shows. I like Neo better as well, except for the last episode. That was just lame :p  I freaked when the Blendrons showed up in the middle of the series for sure.

Yeah, ending on a clip show was pretty weak. And the most INTERESTING part of that episode, the Maximals and Preds uniting to rebuild Cybertron, was told via still frames during the credits. UGH.

So all of BWII was put on VHS? Cool. Didn't know that.

From only reading this page, I can only imagine you're talking about mine. Thanks for the kind words on my work as a whole.

As for my voice work, well... I tried. I was sort of encouraged to do that role for whatever reason and I didn't want to do the part until I saw what he did later on in the series.

From what I've seen of the fandubs, they're no worse than a lot of professional dubs, which is quite the achievement giving what the professionals have at their disposal VS what we fans have to make do with. Plus it is a chance to see the shows which we might not get a chance to see otherwise.

Both BW2 and BW Neo are available (to ONLY Japanse residents) at Rakuten download for a dollar an episode. Considering how expensive DVDs are in Japan as well, I doubt if thses 2 series would ever be released on DVD :(

And I enjoyed those fundubs of BW2 episodes, too. Great job.
