There are several characters in the Transformers mythos that draw inspiration from other fictional characters, with some even acknowledging the similarities. That being said, if you had to assign a Transformers character a role in a film or television series, who would you cast them as? IDW Skids as Jason Bourne : Someone who has no memory of their previous life that goes on a quest to discover who they are. Both are skilled in combat and in evasion. G1 Cliffjumper as John Rambo and Hound as Colonel Samuel Trautman : Cliffjumper hates the Decepticons more than most and picks them off one by one in combat. He has a wide range of weaponry that he uses against the enemy. Hound, who is calm and understands Cliffjumper, could act as a similar character to Colonel Trautman. G1 Landmine as Indiana Jones : Just visit his TFWiki article. Thoughts? **Edit : It can be any character that you pick for fun. Cliffjumper may not be like Rambo but I could personally see a story that features Cliffjumper and Hound that is similar to Rambo. Same with Skids and Bourne. It can literally be anybody. Optimus Prime as John Wayne is a good example because of the similarities.**
G1 Cliffjumper really isn't Rambo. He's just a hot-shot. No clue on IDW Skids...but if that's so, then that's a horrible rendition of the character, IMO. ___ G1 Optimus is pretty obviously supposed to be "John Wayne" by design. Cullen even voices him as such.

Skids as The Pretender from the 90s tv show Kick off as Russell Crowe in Gladiator Slapdash as Ninja Turtle Michaelangelo Rodimus Prime as Strider from Lord of the Rings or in the comedy Big Thunderwings inner robot as Gollum Titanium Menasor as Darth Vader Prowl, Ratchet and Prime as Spock, McCoy and Kirk from the 80s Trek movies
TFP predaking as (a book accurate) Frankenstein's monster. A being that starts out as mere primal instincts, grows to a being of self improvement, before a tragedy causes him to seek vengeance on the kind that spurned him so. Additionally, he's overjoyed to have company. Alternatively, one can see beast war's rampage as this. Tortured by the nature of his being, "Evil becomes his good"

I'd pick Cybertron Ransack for My Cousin Vinny. He has a cooler design and a likeable personality unlike the grating, annoyingly voiced Rattrap. Thunderblast as Harley Quinn. Energon Starscream as the Joker. Sunstorm as Jesus Redo Big Trouble in Little China. Action master Rollout as Jack Burton. His Dreamwave profile really fits Burtons character. Drift as Wang Chi Galvatron, Scourge and Cyclonus as the 3 Storms Unicron as Lo Pan
