    1. Optimus Primal (BW)
    2. Orion Pax (IDW)
    3. Optimus Prime (TF1)
    4. Super Ginrai / God Ginrai (MF)

I only like Super Ginrai/God Ginrai because of his design. I don't know anything about that character (and yes, I realize its not really Prime/Convoy).

I think I want to change my list around a bit, looking back. I think I'd rearrange the list a bit...

    1. Sunbow G1 Optimus Prime. An icon, and more than just an ideal. He has likes, dislikes, and hobbies. He feels like a supremely good, but still well-rounded guy.
    2. IDW G1 Optimus Prime. I like him a lot more than I used to, but I do still like other versions more than him. That said, I feel like he's got a really good arc of evolving from an idealistic, roof-jumping, butt-kicking street cop to the jaded, cynical commander
3/4. Beast Wars Optimus Primal/Animated Optimus Prime. I can't decide. They're both equally good examples of younger, more inexperienced Optimus characters. Maybe I'll decide definitively on one or the other when I eventually get around to watching Beast Machines.
    5. Aligned Optimus Prime. I stand by my reasons for including him, but he just doesn't strike me as that interesting compared to his other incarnations anymore. I don't hate him at all, and I do enjoy his character, but I feel like we could have explored his reasons for being so stoic a little more. That said, he still embodies a lot of what Optimus should be. He's stoic and serious, but he sees his team as a family. He's protective of those who he fights to protect, and will sacrifice himself if necessary for the sake of the greater good. If we could see his reasons for becoming so stoic beyond "Primes don't party", I'd probably place him a lot higher.

Some mix of G1 cartoon Optimus, Primal, and Animated. It's extremely hard for me to rank them because there's a lot to like about them.

I either don't like, haven't read/watched, or need to rewatch certain things to pick two more if we're basing this on character.

    New list:
5.) Beast Wars (he's low in this list but not because I hate him or anything, it's just that I haven't watched many Beast Wars episodes.)
    4.) Prime Optimus
    3.) Shattered Glass
    2.) Marvel
    1.) Movie

    1. Animated
    2. Optimus Primal
    3. Movies
    4. IDW G1
    5. High Moon

I regard the Optimus in the High Moon games and the Optimus in TFP & RID 2015 as different versions of the character. That said, the Aligned cartoon Optimus is the worst incarnation of the character to date. He shouldn't even count as a character, he's so bland and forgettable. He did grow more of a personality in RID but not enough to make it worthwhile.

TFA Optimus was so good, I never noticed they forgot to have him use his face-plate for the entirety of season 2 and 3 until the finale. He was just that good, he didn't need one. His character was so endearing.

For me the all time #1 Prime is G1 cartoon. He's one of my childhood heroes, and I guess he still is. Next is Marvel G1 Prime. He regrets the fact that his actions lead the war to Earth, as opposed to the accidental crash in the cartoon. He showed that even our heroes can have regrets.
I also have to give a shout out to TFA Prime. It was nice to see a Prime at he beginning of his leadership.
