WELL, it seemed hardly fair that the bad guys got all the lovin'. Even if there's so fewer animal mini-cassettes on the good guys side, they still should have a poll. So here it is.

Notes: Shattered Glass and Kiss Players not included.

Dile will forever have my love as cutest. He's a little dino resembling Grimlock who uses energy sensors in his thumbs to quickly find energy sources. His keen curiosity often gets him into trouble though. Just the thought of him scurrying for energy the way a hound dog goes after a scent is adorable.
He's also able to combine with the other mini-cassette Saur to form Leg-Out!

I honestly think they tried to make Dile cute. It doesn't mean he isn't though.  

 

Hard not to choose Dile, even though I think their all pretty cute.

Because he isn't a cassette.

Not sure why Sundor isn't on here though.

 

Because Kiss Players characters are excluded from the pole. See the notes in the original post.

 

But Sundor exists in the aligned continuity too.

I'm going to hop on the Dile bandwagon. I honestly find Iguanodon to be one of the cutest dinosaurs, and I love the detail with his thumb-spikes.

 

Steeljaw... doesn't Beast Machines Cheetor look as if he'd be a relative or rebuild of him? Anyway, luv Steeljaw (cause i always liked that he & Blaster looked so cool together... like a good version of Soundwave & Ravage).

 

Hmm. I'm seeing a BIAS for the evil cassettes. Do folks really have so little knowledge on the good guy's cutie animal cassettes? How sad.

 

Where are these even from? I never heard of any of these outside of ramhorn and steeljaw.

 

They didn't exist till 1986 while Soundwave's minions having been around since 84.

 

I never realized that there were so many tapes in the g1 toy line. Never seen these guys represented in the comic

 

The four dinos are from Headmasters era G1, though they were never released in the US. That's why they're obscure.

Stripes and Nightstalker are both E-Hobby (I think) exclusives, based on a robot who was planned to appear in the battle of Autobot City, but got cut, and a very obscure Marvel hi-than-die character, respectively. So both are extremely obscure. I don't remember either of them, or the dinos, in IDW. If they have appeared there, it's probably only as cameos.

 

The four dinos weren't in the headmaster comics or toon. I would love those too damn
