I had to use a different scale chart due to size restraints. That said...

Cybertron Metroplex or Galaxy Force Megalo Convoy's size is taken from scale charts.
Toy scale based on the battle depicted in the Japanese box art, assuming Ultra Magnus is 6 meters without armor.
G1 cartoon scale taken from Headmaster era scale chart, next to Daniel, Wheelie, Chromedome, Raiden and Fort Max.
Metrowars based on the comic of the same name and interaction with Metrotitan, Omega Supreme, ect.
GI Joe comic scale based on Megatron and Destro at Metroplex's feet.
Fall of Cybertron is stated as 600 feet in promotional graphics.
IDW was hard to peg but most of my scaling based on panels indicates he's approximately the same size as in the UK comics.
UK comics booklet Transformers: The Facts states Metroplex is 698 feet tall.
Comic Bom Bom height comes from one of their magazine scans.
Hobby Japan released graphics a while back in 2000 in agreement that Metroplex was 800 meters, next to a Unicron bigger than Jupiter.

Next time will likely be either Starscream or Devastator. If you enjoyed this project of mine, you might also enjoy the following-

Whoa! This is a great chart! But there is one problem. I believe that IDW Metroplex is bigger than that. First of all:[IMG]

Metroplex is on his knees in this image, with Prowlestator coming up to just below his chest.
Marissa estimates that Prowlestator is about 400 feet tall. This means that from just below Metroplex's chest to his knees is around 400 feet. That means there is more height in his head to base of chest, and his knees to feet.
This image features Skywarp near the Necrotitan. If Skywarp is the size of a jet, then that means that he is around 40 feet from jet to nosecone. Now comparing it to the Necrotitan's head, the head is around 6 Skywarp's long. But this means that the head is 240 feet tall. So there really is no way to determine how tall Metroplex is. But if we go by the first measurement, we can possibly infer that Metroplex is about two Prowlestators tall, putting him at around 800 feet tall. But it's just a theory.

    240px = 46m
    301px = 57.7m
This puts IDWvastator at about 189 feet.

That would put him decently below where Metroplex's knee is here. Never saw the 400 foot statement before. Not sure if it's hyperbole but helpful just the same, thanks. Of course Devastator explicitly uses mass shifting in these comics. As do the jets because they were ginormous in AHM.

But when the Constructicons took Cybertronian modes and Hook became a leg and Prowl joined the roster Devastators size could have changed

I have seen Cobalt Agent's citation in other threads.
While artists may take license with size in different issues/episodes, he goes by official source material.
Meaning, what ever was listed as a character's official height on bios or source material.
Scale in use by artists will always be more subjective. Remember when Bruticus boarded blast-off (while simultaneously using Blast-off as his arm)?

Plex is definitely in the 800m range, maybe even more like 1000m. Think about it. His arms legs, chest, etc. are buildings. FOR TRANSFORMERS. And there's good reason to assume that in city mode he expands his volume considerably (all the rooms and hallways and storage areas probably fold in to make him more solid). I'd think that his bot mode is condensed from his carrier mode, which is even further condensed from his city mode.

Based on my calculations, with Optimus being 8.5 meters tall standing next to Spike Witwicky in previous IDW issues, Metroplex's chest came out as 91.64 meters wide and 25.9 meters tall, which led to my original calculation for his full height using what few pictures of IDW Metroplex's full body were available to me.

Also note that Metroplex's first appearance had him stomping on Sixshot, the image I used, ad Sixshot is roughly equal in size to Optimus.

It is possible. I think though that IDW has settled on all combiners being of equal size, which is why Devastator is to same height as Monstructor.

If you bother to look at my opening post I have several topics like this one in which I do my best to put scale into perspective. I don't know why people feel the need to rain on my parade because 'LOL SCALE'.

    Thanks for the support bro.

If it makes sense, to me Metroplex has never been a true city. Just a large building. He's often called the living 'core' of Autobot City.

I'd tend higher on IDW Metroplex, in no small part because they *live* in him now.

Oh, and we see Titans compared to the Lost Light, and they're in the same size range.

I really hated how inconsistent Headmasters was with Metroplex. In the old cartoon, he was obviously city bot, in Headmasters, he's about the same height as a combiner. Lame. I love the cover for Transformers vs G.I. Joe though. That shit right there is a real city bot. :D

Don't think we'll ever know how tall Metroplex is; mine is about 2'.

Lets see you can fit a combiner inside metroplex. He's huge

Comic Bom Bom is huge so scale wise that works for me

I'll put him somewhat half the size of Unicron, thank you. Just that

scale is dependent on the level of drama for any given scene or picture.

I would use IDW's dialogue to help with the scale. IDW Metroplex is nearly as big as The Lost Light which is 2.5 miles.

Actually, according to Ultra Magnus the Lost Light is 15 x 10 miles. Which makes absolutely no sense and contradicts all the artwork. That's Brooklyn and the Bronx combined. Ultra Magnus is Ultra Magnus so I doubt the line was hyperbole, so I think the authors were just high.

I love the inconsistency here. Devastator looks so out of proportion. He's twice as big as he should be. If this were accurate, then Megatron and Starscream could fit into Mixmaster's drum, and there would still be room for cement.

Whoever did this cover art didn't do their homework.

That only confounds the situation more. If Prowlestator really is 400 feet, then that means Metroplex's chest is already 800 feet. The scale is just all over the place.

I always interpreted Metroplex as a citybot for humans. In city mode, I'd say he's approximately 20 stories tall. One story is about 11 feet. So, 220 feet tall in city mode. Double that for robot mode after he stands up. So, 440 feet in robot mode. 1 meter equals 3 feet, so...right around 146 meters tall in my head canon. If you were going to make him a citybot for Transformers, then you'd probably triple that figure to make him back to 440 meters tall.

Now, judging by the toy and Brave Maximus's window placement, Fortress Maximus is probably about 50 stories tall in robot mode (right around the height of his lower leg times 2.5). 50 stories would equal 550 feet...or around 180 meters tall. So...while Fortress is indeed larger than Metroplex...in scale, Fortress only has a 20% size differential...or thereabouts, at least. Which is vastly different from the toy scale.
