What about the groups (e.g Dinobots) they need some fembot love to.

Well transformers is rather gender bias aswe have like 9999999999+ regular bots and like only 30 femmes

 

And it's still not enough...

I don't mind an increase in females, just stop with the convoluted reasons for them to exist. (Sex changes, colonial adaptations)

 

Next thing you know, you want a femme planet like Primus.

As always when this comes up, you can blame Simon Furman for both Arcee's origin there and later writers having to come up with the colonies in order to reintroduce ladybots in the first place.

 

It's like the comic writers have never heard of retcons.

Having daughters at home I love that we are seeing more female Transformers. Don't much care for the reasons they are using in the comics for the origins of them but as longs as we have them I'm ok.

Ugh. Paddles is such a terrible name. I wouldn't want a female Dinobot called Paddles.

 

Make an entire new team of female Dinobots, both to add more lady bots and to add more dinosaurs than the standard Rex/Stego/Trike/Dactyl/Bronto set we always get.

Yeah sadly Furman made it an issue so they had to explain it. I do like that it's gone from "Caminus evolved gender differently" to "Cybertron is the odd one out AND used to have fembots of its own" though.

 

Oh yes, it would be very cool. Could have an Ankylosaur, a Pachycephalosaur, a Therizinosaur, a Dromaeosaur and a Rhamphorhynchid, so on and so forth.

the colonies is the weakest excuse you could use. surly there is a way around Arcees origin that doesn't involve such retconning.

The problem with Recons is that they can become issues in themselves. If it's an easy fix where you can just say something like "X never happened because people thought that some one else was me." is a fast way to fix it. But something like "No females on Cybertron" it becomes a question of how do you recon that? Like with Marvel having to literally do the whole thing with Doctor Doom vs Wanda going crazy at marvel. Now they have more problems because they had it be Doom that forced Wanda's hand, and then they had to revive a dead character, and it's still a mess.

It seems to be a lot easier to just move forward in this case rather then recon it. Or if they did, just have it be that all the femes were in stasis underground. Although that too would posses problems.
