I find it is appropriate to start this up again

 

I have only seen 3 Transformers shows (G1, Animated and Prime) and Animated was my favorite by far.

You forgot Transformers Cybertron.

 

G1 and Beast wars.

 

The best TF cartoon is Beast Wars: best written, best overal story, best characters and character development; an episode like "Code of Hero" is most likely the best TF episode ever made.

Prime and Animated are also up there as the best, but both fall just short of BW.

(G1 is the most nostalgic and likely one of the most important.)

G1 because it started it all.
Beast Wars for its great characters and expanding upon the G1 universe. Animation was good for its time.
Beast Machines for expanding upon Beast Wars. It gets demerits for how it treated certain characters (specifically Primal and Rattrap).
Animated for having great characters, stories and animation.

I also like RID 2015 thus far but it's too early to tell if it will be great.

 

Great characters, dialog, and some really great plot moments.

I think threads like these should be started once the current (RID 2015) show is finished.

So we get a full taste of everything.

 

Animated is the best.

Beast Wars is second.

Rescue Bots is third.

 

Beast Wars > Animated> G1 > Beast Machines > Prime > Every thing else

I'll leave judgement aside on Animated until I have seen the entire thing. Same will go for Cybertron as I feel like I should give it another shot.

As much as I love G1, and believe me I do... (GEEWUN4LYFE/TRUKK NOT MONKEY) it is mostly nostalgia... I'm not sure if I want to put it in the "best" category or not... best characters, best music, best story? best presentation? best use of Star Wars sound effects outside of Star Wars? And I think that since it was the first, it allows me to appreciate the shows that came later even more.

So from the poll I only chose Beast Wars as the best show.

My second would be Galaxy Force, while not Cybertron, but it is not on the list.

 

Animated and Beast Wars (mostly Animated for me).

And I'm not hating on anyone who thinks it, but I've never been a fan of the "It started it so its the best" mentality. Never been a fan of it regarding Power Rangers, Transformers, or what have you.

 

Everyone you will have to vote again so Cybertron can be added to the rooster so if you like Cybertron, you will get to vote again

 

every catoon after Beast wars has been nothing but rehashes.

two warring factions of robots wind up on earth in search of power/energon/o-parts/allsparks and with the help of a group of human children, the good guys save the earth.

some follow this pattern more closely than others. and im not trying to hate, I was simply stating an observation.

 

Beast Wars and Beast Machines and to a much lesser extent Prime have been the only watchable TF shows IMO. I love the G1 characters since I grew up with them but I can't even make it through a single episode anymore.
