How do you guys say it?

QUIN-tuh-SAHN

or

quin-TESS-uhn?

I'm pretty sure the G1 narrator called them the first one but I swear somebody (maybe in the Energon dub) used the latter.

 

QUIN-tuh-SAHN for me, but I liked how Animated Swindle pronounced it as Quin-TESS-uhn.

 

quin-TESS-uh is the planet, QUIN-tuh-SAHNs are the beings who populate it.

 

I say it's quin-tuh-sahn

American isn't exactly pronounced the same as America with an extra n. (It's close, but I think you'll find the last "A" is pronounced differently for the two.) I'm from Ameri-kuh , therefore I'm Ameri-kin.

So if you are from the planet Quin-Tess-uh, you can be a Quin-tuh-sahn...without being anymore inconsistent that we typically are.

Plus...that's how they all said it, so there's really no debate.

I'd type it 'Quin-ter-sahn' though.

I don't know why I defaulted to the narrator. I probably should have figured a member of the rave would have referred to himself as such.

I kind of like idea of Cybertronians like Swindle saying it incorrectly, like how Arrow is dealing with Ra's all Ghul's movie pronunciation vs. his TAS/video game pronunciation.

 

I prefer Energon's pronunciation over g1, but I'm used to both by now.
