    That's pretty much the way I feel about it. It's almost like asking who's the better Inferno voice actor- Walker Edmiston or Jim Byrnes?

    I agree with you completely. John Goodman was an awesome movie Bulkhead.

    G1, though I'll admit I'm bias in the fact that I haven't seen aoe and have no intention of doing so :p

    John Goodman, he's one of my favorite voice actors and he had a very unique character to play. Ken Sanmson didn't really have a memorable voice as Hound.

    Yeah what did G1 Hound do or say that was remotely interesting? Nothing. John Goodman brought so much personality to Hound in AOE. If you want to know what character AOE Hound is closest to being like it's Warpath. Loves fighting and has a devil-may-care attitude, and all you are missing is the onomatopoeias.

    Don't get me wrong, John Goodman is one of the best voices for a Transformers character ever.

    But there's something about G1 Hound's voice that I can't help but find friendly, soothing even.

    Behind The Voice Actors - Voice Compare: Transformers - Hound

    He sounds like Jimmy Stewart essentially.

    It would have been more interesting if it was Walker Edminston vs Michael Daingerfield Hall as Autobot Inferno. Jim Brynes FTW though.

    Gotta agree with your assessment on G1 Hound. The one line that comes to mind is in MTMTE part 2, when he tells Mirage that they should go tell Ironhide some good news. "Make him feel better." Just the delivery of that line & the sound of his voice was genuinely friendly.

    That said, I do really like AOE Hound too. They're both good.

    I liked G1 Hound's voice. He is still the definitive Hound for me

    I'm old school. I prefer G1 Hound and his friendly Jimmy Stewart imitation. Plus I prefer the traditional G1 look.

    AOE Hound while likeable reminds me of Prime Bulkhead who I hate. I don't like the modern stylised aesthetics especially when tfs are given hair. Don't get me wrong I like AOE hound and John Goodmans performance but I definitely see more similarity with Bulkhead.

    I liked the beard when I saw the movie but I prefer a younger looking Hound

    I'm sure this has been said but, they have the same name but are not the same character at all. I Prefer G1 hound, but Goodman was good, man...
    as an Ironhide replacement.
