From one of the two creators of Krem and Shinkis' Funnies! comes a new story of gruesome war. The Autobots and Decepticons of nineteen-year-old T.F. Allen's collection have been at war for half a decade. Now, their owner has taken a select few of them to college, and each side desperately fights to gain advantage enough to exterminate the enemy. I now present: Prologue This prologue was teased about a year ago, but now the comic is finally in production, with plans for updates every other Friday. This short prologue is a flashback, thus the muted coloration. It's something of a teaser of what's to come in the first chapter of the story, which will go up next Friday! 'TIL ALL ARE (G)ONE does not take place in the same universe as Krem & Shinkis' Funnies! Going off of the concepts introduced by Polenicus and Chaos Incarnate, this story is set in another shadow realm linked to me, but not to ShinkisRule. My cast of characters is no longer primarily comprised of Bayformers, as it was in Krem & Shinkis' Funnies! I'm now using the "small" set of figures I brought to college with me. These happen to be some of my favorites, and were selected with this new story in mind. The posing on Starscream... its just so bringin' that character to being and showin' how good (or at least adequate) enough that figure is for him X3 At least as far as kneelin'/bowing like that goes. And a bitchin' close-up to Cliffjumper as well.
The first edition is an absolutely excellent figure, and I now have Fakebuster's Shapeways kit for him. The articulation is wonderfully characterful, in a way I've not seen on most toys. It's not that he can pose, but that he can pose in character. Expect to see me wring as much as I can out of this delicious piece of plastic. Well, Obsidian is a high-ranking character, a General, technically. I don't know why Starscream didn't call him "General" in-dialogue, though. XD It's not a spoiler to say that Starscream is no underling; he's only right below Obsidian on the chain of command. Why he's so subservient here will be revealed....
Half-past-two and my classes are over. It is time.... Chapter 1 - Lament There was a bit of confusion with my test audience, so in case it was unclear, Starscream is dead. Sorry, Fez Findie; you did seem to be looking forward to seeing the possibilities of his posability. But, then, this is Starscream, so the question of the hour is, of course, "Is he really gone?" I was very intrigued with the idea of channeling the Prime opener, but taking a completely different swing on it. I hope the twist ending here wasn't as obvious as it seemed to appear in my head. The title of this chapter was intended to be "Obsidian's Lament," in honor of the comic that got me into this whole side of my hobby, but that would have been too obvious. I'm also incorporating a soundtrack to the comic. James Roberts set a trend with More than Meets the Eye. In this chapter, we shall begin to delve into the aftermath of Starscream's death, and the object of his mission, along with the question: did he succeed before his untimely termination?
I would have preferred to have this up earlier in the day, but it's been a busy Friday. Chapter 2 - No Mercy You might notice that Bumblebee and Cliffjumper are having their chat on a different desk from the one we saw last chapter. This is an unfortunate effect of having shot some of this stuff last year. The desk of this chapter is from my dorm last year, and will not be seen again. Just pretend they're the same desk. I absolutely love Starscream's facial expressions in Prime. I hope I managed to do them justice. Oooooh no taking chances with the TFP Starscream this time... for a VERY good reason. Guess we don't need to worry about that now.
