Chapter 7 Egads! A wild update appears! Chapter 7 - To Strike the Head of the Tyrant This was originally meant to be the first scene of a much longer chapter, but I decided to split it into two parts to space out the updates and make post-production more manageable. I love the lighting effects I got to do for this scene. It takes place inside my closet (which was last seen as a wardrobe, but my new room has a closet). The title of this chapter comes from a quote from notable Swedish monarch Gustav Vasa: "Everybody wants to be the one to strike the head of the tyrant, but not the one to hold the axe." I found it while browsing TV Tropes one evening. The script for the last panel reads "Somehow, despite his mouthplate, Scourge GRINS." Oh, yeah, and I found a use for that stupid throne that came with MP King Grimlock. I think it actually manages to not look like poo. Special thanks to Pete Lents of The Audio Knights Theatre for soundtrack suggestions Soundtrack for chapter 7: "Authority Song" – John Mellencamp "Nothing's Gonna Stand in Our Way" – Spectre General "A Question of Honour" – Sarah Brightman
And yessss... Spectre General's "Nothing's Gonna Stand in Our Way." I have been listening to the 1986 Transformers movie soundtrack lately, and even to this day, it's still a kickass song. *Two thumbs up*
Update coming soon! I am (finally!) hard at work on the next chapter of 'Til All Are (G)one! Expect the full chapter around the end of next week. Until then, here's a selection from the soundtrack: "Sins of the Father" - Michael Giacchino (from the soundtrack to Let Me In) And a glimpse at one of the panels:
Glad to see this coming back. Are they training, or has Bumblebee finally been pushed over the edge...? I guess we'll wait and see!
Took a great deal longer to put this together than I would have liked, but here is the next chapter! Chapter 8 - A Life for a Life The script for this chapter was just slightly over two pages. These pages weren't even the typical 8½ x 11 inch pages, either. They were mini pages from my Franklin Planner. The final product was seventy-one panels. Sideways the interdimensional arms dealer was created by Polenicus for Warring at Play. I did my best to follow his very specific rules for using the character. The fact that he uses Skype was entirely my idea. #ShamelessProductPlacement This chapter's tender moments were especially influenced by the song "Forks," listed in the soundtrack below. I'm especially proud of those moments. It's amazing how much can be conveyed without any dialogue whatsoever. Disney's Mulan inspired the title "A Life for a Life." About the last two-thirds of this chapter were edited during my downtime at Macbeth rehearsals for the past two weeks (I play Malcolm, son of King Duncan and Prince of Cumberland). I expect there will be many references to Macbeth in future chapters. If anyone knows where I can get an Autobot insignia sticker small enough to fit on Deluxe Bumblebee's forehead, please tell me. You had it right with the first guess: Bumblebee is training with the Wreckers. They're using blanks, and their blades are guarded by forcefields so that they can't cut. Soundtrack for chapter 8: "Forks" – Matilda Modigh "Sins of the Father" – Michael Giacchino (from the soundtrack to Let Me In) "Monster" – Paramore
Man that was a long ass update....so long that it kinda froze and stopped showing some of the pics. It's pretty good from what I've read.
