YO14: Thanks! This has been a sort of experiment in "Will It Blend?" I'm glad it doesn't seem like too much of a mess. I just hope I can resolve all these disparate elements in some satisfactory manner, by the big finish.

FF: Yes, it's not quite as Magnus thinks, is it? But it might not be quite as Swiper thinks, either. My characters are rarely 100% right about things like that.  

br-i: It could, couldn't it? It all depends, I suppose, on whether Magnus' assessment of Sideswipe is more accurate than Sideswipe's assessment of Magnus.
