    Is his sword still made of that soft plastic? I have the original, and that's my one real complaint.

    Yup. Flop flop flop. Of course, my Vec is the peanut butter one from late Cybertron, not the chocolatey-goodness recolor that just came out. I'm pretty certain that one has the floppy sword, too.

    But he can still go around saving spacetime.

    You might browse Ebay. Original and extra-crunchy, peanut-buttery VP are both quite cheap...you should be able to get the original scheme for $10-$15 before shipping, and probably a lot less. These two also have electronics, which were gutted from the cocoalossal recolor.

    O: Sadly true. Fortunately we are in the realm of fanon here. I always saw Vec as an incredibly powerful Transformer, a hero who could be immensely destructive if he chose, but whose wisdom and conscience demanded restraint. I mean, the guy can reverse time. That's powerful!
