So, the shadow has heard about Swipes sleeping under the tree of the webforest, like a gift under the Christmas tree, while giving Tsu some nice, warm cup o'... syntheyuck coffee... OK, I take the "nice" part back. And by the way...do me a favor and shroud the F-word, OK? I got some extra-strong nanite soaps for these potty-mouths... and I'm ain't afraid to use 'em.

And since Christmas is upon us like the city-destroyers from ID4, I've been wonderin'... are we near the end of chapter 12?

In advance, happy holidays... 'specially in the middle of a winter battlezone and inside a loonie's warped psyche. By the way, watched Prime and it's official - with dark-energon, AKA the Blood of Unicron, Megatron is now a techno-necromancer. Believe me, this stuff's the transformer equalient of E-DNA.

Well, bad coffee or substiute usually only has warmth with it... This sure ended up with an interesting style :)

    ... Oh yeah, right, Sideswipe? o_O ;

it looks like a swear word
it sounds like a swear word.
but it is not actually a swear word.

ok, good. i was wondering just what happened to the friendly (if ghostly and gritty) atmosphere. :)

welcome back to the land of dreams

Of course Tsu's got to go there! Of course! Go Tsu!

I delivered my Toys for Tots Arcee yesterday before my VA appointment in the city, then shopped for my niece. Bought her a Twist and Style MLP, which were surprisingly cheap for what you get, IMO. There were only two left, and the one I left was in a mangled box, and she looked so forlorn and pitiful, and you know she'd sit there until way after Christmas sales because of it...so I went back and bought her, too. Niece will get the one from the crushed box, unpacked 'cause she's two-and-a-half and shouldn't have to deal with or care about packaging, and some poor kid will get the one in the nicer box. :)

UO: It looks like a swear word, but it's not one. :)  It's a German slang term for coffee substitute. Mucken+fuck, "mud"+"rotten". Another term is "ersatzkaffee", but I think this was more common in earlier years.

The familiar F-swearword is also Germanic in origin, but from a different root. It's rather amazing that the expletive has preserved its literal meaning so well, for more than a thousand years, considering how rapidly slang can evolve.

So...she isn't swearing, but I went back and changed it anyway, because it's too distracting, and I don't want to have to put in a paragraph of explanation for a slang term on my website. :)

Yes. This bizarre dream-sequence is the last part of this disorderly chapter. The Christmas comic will begin on Christmas itself, like it did last year. :)

I saw the first half of the two-parter. So far, the show belongs to sarcastic Arcee. Everybody else is just co-starring. :)

It's probably boiled from ground and roasted morphobot-vines or something. Could not possibly be good for your health, although Schatten is obviously somewhere past the need to worry about that. :)

    Thanks! I hope that's good-interesting, rather than confused-interesting. :D

For word-trivia, see reply to UltOp, above. :)

Best to keep the coat on. It's chili around here.

...and if you haven't got one, ask Schatten where she got her too-big Red Army coat. Actually, it's probably best not to ask too many questions.

But... you might dig up a few clues in chapter 9, and then attempt to fit
the pieces to what Schatten says in the last comic. :)

That will be one dollar and one doughnut, thank you, drive through. :)

    Ha! :D

Basically, Tsugaru has attempted to take control of a nightmare, to break into the unnamed entity's dimension, in hopes of rescuing Sideswipe's missing spark-program. Unfortunately, it worked all too well, and now she's gotten sucked in, as well.

    Skydive is also there.

Meanwhile, back in Entropolis, they're still sleeping off a null-ray hangover.

Schatten is something Auntie Entity put together out of discarded data. According to her, the Murmeltiers of this universe were built to conveniently forget things, such as a moral sense. We can then assume they acted accordingly. Because Schatten has all of these discarded thoughts, she knows exactly what they did, and they would feel like things *she* did. She has no power to control their actions, only to experience the remorse and guilt that they don't.

What she said was "Welcome to hell." We will soon discover some reasons for her assessment, if we need any more than the previous paragraph.

She has no access to the thoughts of SD's Murmeltier, who is from a completely different Alternity...but see chapter 9. Odd. :D  :hookday

    :D  :D  :D

Aw, wonderful. My daughter loves ponies. As I said, she makes me draw them all the time. She's about as old as your niece, so the pony should go over well. :)

DP: Not exactly, it's more of a one-way soul trap, with no access to the Allspark...and for very good reason, as we will soon discover.

It's one of Harmony Grace's off-screen weapons, produced by nun-o-technology. Gosh, I might have to make use of that...

It can also make people not want to live without their love...which makes it very easy to 'wonderous and brave things' if there's any chance of saving them.

Hey, Autobus - did you think the story would go this far when you started it?

In the end, love conquered, conquers and alway will conquer all. I just hope the love Tsu has for Sideswipe isn't blind... else she'll be Legion chow any time soon. And if Schatten's panzer is fully loaded... either the shadow gynoid gets Ms. Santa... or the Legions of daemons will.

Nice to see you've been sharpening your drawing skills over action figure images.

(By the way.... Dark of the Moon.... 'Bots and 'Cons involved in the Space Race... should prove most pyrotechnically interesting... a shame ROTF got splattered with three Razzie blackmarks, really... but every action has consequences, I guess...)

(And from Santa, I got Smolder, the firebot who starts fires like the firemen in Farenheit, and Ravage, Sea Attack variant... man, is Anodythe gonna be slaggin' steamed... by the way, first PCC of mine was Leadfoot.)

It's still open, so if anybody else wants to be in the comic, act now, help the kids, and join the fun!

Mr. T. announces Operation MAGI 2010

Great stuff to have around, when the story goes to hull. :D

A: You're welcome. :)  I've started work on a glossary for my website, to help people with some of the terms and concepts that get thrown around in this comic. This should help, when it's done. :)

Indeed, from her POV, she's got everything to gain, nothing valuable to lose...but, besides that, this is just a dream, isn't it?

Nope! :D  Tsugaru, mowing down snowmen, didn't seem likely to go anywhere,to me or anybody else, and now, here she is, flying into hell, propelled by love and rockets (a good band, too. :)  ).

...but that's how stories go, sometimes. Pick up the thread, give it a pull, then let it unwind and follow it where it goes. Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's not so fun, but I don't like to try and force a story to go where it doesn't want to go, or make characters act as they don't want to act. I think that ends up being too obvious.

I don't know where that leaves this comic, of course. It's not fannish in the right ways. No Optimus Prime, no Megatron, not much people can connect with as fans. It's too fannish in the wrong ways, assuming people will know weirdly obscure things about the Linkage, Masterforce, GoBots, Shinki fanon, etc...so it kinda' fails as a fan-comic, but it's not original enough to stand on its own. I'm proud of this weird thing, sure...I'm just not sure I should be. :)

So... I just have fun making it, and hope for the best. At worst, it gives me some practice writing stuff and drawing stuff. I'm glad you enjoy reading it. :)

So....you're saying that love always conquers all, so long as we don't specify which side gets conquered. Always that cynical, arms-dealer type, aren't we?
    :)

The question is academic, of course, since the tank is empty...

Thanks! I literally did do the ch. 8 images of Stellite this way (print out blue a/f photos, draw over photo, scan and remove blue), but in this case, the only prop is the tank, and it's just background, so I did the reverse - line drawings first, then photograph the tank to match the drawing perspective.

After that, processing was similar, though I had to add cast shadows (which the other method provided for me. :)  )

    Steamed? Why? :)

Let's hope that it's enough to defeat...what we will soon see...and more.
