With all the SDCC excitement, I almost forgot it was Saturday! Remembered just in time.

Ooh, so much goodness here!

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier, but I'm diggin your Repolabelled Jazz.

Great battle sequence and staging! You put real thought into the angles and how the battle drives the story, and it shows. And I am envious of your Ultra Magnus. I never picked him up when they released him, thinking he would be easily available in a year or two

I loved the chatty Bluestreak discussing popular misunderstandings of the Maya calandar, hehe. And the little part about TF's arriving on earth coinciding with the b'ak'tun rollover was awesome!

What program do you use for your fx?

BTW, if you're into Maya archaeology, there was a neat little discovery reported earlier this year.

Great update!

Thanks! I know I'm not great with f/x, so I'm really leaning on the strength of the story. Which means I try to have everything, including fights, be something that brings it further forward.

Heh, thanks. I was reading about the whole 2012 scare thing, and found a site that listed some of the other possible calculations of the long count calendar. I don't remember if Mt. St. Helens was on the list or if I just said "heck, why not?" but it seemed like a nice detail.

I use Photoshop Elements 2, mostly because a friend of mine had a promo cd she didn't want. It does make some tutorials hard to adapt because it doesn't have all the options other programs do...

Thank you! I'm actually quite proud of Dead End. He was the first Alt. custom I did meant to really evoke a pre-existing character (as opposed to say, buying the black Humvee and going "now who can I say this is?" and I was quite pleased with the result.

Thanks!

I'd just like to encourage everyone who reads this to post comments if they've got them. Don't be shy! Even if they're criticisms, as long as they're polite and meaningful, they're helpful.

I say this partly because the more active the thread is the more people will read it... but mostly because it makes me want to do more. Any kind of creative endeavor involves holding a little bit of one's soul out for other people to look at, and the most discouraging result out there is to hear nothing but the crickets. Smileys are great. Suggestions and questions are even better!

Anyway, the final scene of Chapter 2 will go up on Saturday. I'm not sure how long after that it'll be before Chapter 3 starts: I'm having trouble with the script, both with scenes that aren't working, and the need to move some characters off-screen. (I don't have all the characters that are still "alive," and my toy budget has been severley curtailed for the fall. )

But thanks to everyone who's enjoyed it so far! I'm sure you'll be paitient while I get Chapter Three sorted out.

I have the same issues with my strip: hundreds of views per update, and maybe 5 comments. Don't let it get to ya
