Hey shutterbugs, it's time to vote for your favorite photography!

    1

First, it's Mini-Bot's comic fluff, at perhaps its least fluffy! Were dastardly
deeds of dark design ever so delightfully depicted?

Next up, it's Time Shinki, showing just what one can do with a lot of ingenuity
and a little bit of ketchup. Grrrrrr...rassafrassa evil Prime grumblegrumble...

    3.

Now for something devilishly delicious starring the leading lady of Polenicus' Warring at Play and her lovely counterpart from Prime Time, and of course Wheeljack, always looking good in his impossible-to-transform Alternatoryness...

And while you're stuffing down baked goods, let's peruse the next entry - Coolhand's Out of the Dead Land, resplendent in glorious blue! As I recall, this was done with lighting...

And on the lighter side, diwong's Toy Stories with Optimus and Friends. Look at
the crisp photos and the gleaming reflections on that jazzy silver!

    7

And meanwhile, here is Kryptokyron, creating vast worlds full of (excellent) Bad Comedy!

    8

...while in the Kingdom of Evan, Starscream chows down on every scenic property through the magic of magnificent posing and gestures!

    9

...and it's not over yet! The competition's made all the tougher this year, because perennial fine photographer StarfireMk2 had more toys to endanger in outdoor shots, or to showcase with more safety in crisp studio work!

    10

...while the Collectors' Red Skies Lie, ending early as it did, is not to be denied its share of creative posing and use of backlight!

    11

Meanwhile, Pun3x is fully up to his usual standards in Roll Call, and some of the best photography was reserved for the famous Megatron vs. 2 Strike fight! Look closely at those poses, folks! How did he do some of those?!

(While it was also in the fight poll, I kept the Megs fight in, just because the photography in the shots here looked too great to pass up.)

    12
And now, Hype1's Transforming the Unknown. I almost put this one aside, I admit,
because I wasn't sure where the effects started and the photography ended...
and FX are more for the FX poll...

...but then I realized that this seamlessness was itself a good feature of the photography,
because the lighting and posing matches so well with the postprocessing.

Why are there so many panels? I thought it was supposed to be a single picture for each nomination, to be judged on artistic criteria: camera angle, lighting, posing of the figure, awareness of the background, etc.

So many good choices... I have no clue who to vote for...

@ Keith Prime -- In the past couple of Funnies Awards, the material being nominated for Best Photography has always been from an entire comic update to better show off people's photography. It's nearly impossible to show people's best photography if only one comic image is being shown. Best Panel is the only category in the Funnies Awards to show off a single comic image/panel.

Voted. I had to flip a coin. I wish I had more than one vote, that's how frickin' hard it was to make the choice.

KP: Yeah, it wasn't made too clear that this was considering the comic as a whole, or at least in a batch. :)  This is how it was done last year, and previously. To treat it as a 'best individual photograph' category does have some merit, however, and perhaps we should consider this next year - the 'best panel' overlaps, but that contest includes FX, and they generally have a lot of influence on which one wins.

CH: When did Britain start using 13 sided coins???!! :)

Coolhand must now proceed to make a victory dance video...set to Eiffel 65's "I'm Blue" song and with a blue filter taped to the video camera lens.

On behalf of the camera, the GIMP lighting filters, and the Force FX lightsaber that provided our lighting for that scene, I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone who voted for Out Of The Dead Land. A full speech is currently being put together, but in the meantime, once again, thank you. :)

Congrats! Your shots there were perfect examples of why your photography is some of the best I've ever seen. A lot of us have learned great camera angles and dynamics, but you've got lighting down on top of that!

    ...that sounded wrong...
